Great Value!

HOOVER
HOOVER

Pros: As everyone notes, this vacuum has great suction and a high-speed beater brush. I lower the handle to the floor (someone said that you can't do this, but you just hit the foot pedel again and it will lay flat), and it walked itself across a low pile area rug. This picks up much more than my last vacuum. Low-cost generic bags (online) that work fine.

Cons: The bag is small, so they need to be changed frequently. The beater brush always spins--when you lock the vacuum in the upright position, it lifts the beater brush off the carpet...mostly. The hose is short and cheap. It crimps easily if you're not careful. The cord is shorter than most.

Overall Review: I figured that there would need to be some corners cut to sell this vacuum for under $70. Overall, I imagine that it will last several years--maybe longer if I can get some replacement parts, like the hose. At the price, it's almost a disposable vacuum, but it does a great job cleaning.

A great little tool kit

Pros: This is a well-thought-out computer tool kit.

Cons: Nothing really.

Overall Review: Other than not finding one at a similar price before, I'm not sure why I didn't pick one up sooner. Probably would be good to have a head light included, as I find it quite inconvenient to hold a flashlight and work on the PC. Can't have it all...

Awesome Memory

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ

Pros: I just received the memory...two days after I placed the order! It exactly matches the memory modules I already had for two years, so essentially doubling my total memory. It worked immediately! No issues. And, the bonus is that the WEI (Win Index Experience) for the memory was bumped up from 6.3 to 7.5 (whatever that means), but if 7.9 is max, that's plenty for my purposes.

Cons: None

Great Case

GIGABYTE Triton 180 Black 0.7mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The is a very good case with plenty of room, and well laid out. I love the tool-less design. It's was very easy to get the components installed. The wiring was long enough for my install. The front lights are nice and bright, which is much better than the ones from my last case that I could barely see. The large fans are quiet.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Seems to ventilate well with the stock fans. really works well for my home use.

Great CPU

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 125W Processor - HDZ955FBGIBOX

Pros: Gotta love the speed, and a good value too. Runs smoothly with Win 7 (64-bit). It has been stable for over a month. Only rebooted for updates and adding components.

Cons: Minor: I can hear the stock fan when it is on High, but I would expact that, and it doesn't bother my work.

Overall Review: Although I have not stressed it to its limits, it is good to have the capability when needed. Nice PSU

CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-750TX 750 W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This unit has plenty of power for most users. It is quiet and has not skipped a beat, as expected. I will be testing it further, as I will soon be adding a graphics card. There are plenty of long cables, and they are well-shielded.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I have tried to save some bucks by using lower-quality PSUs with mixed results -- mostly dying within a year, so I anticipate this will last much longer. Also, I do not smell anything from the unit -- may be an isolated issue for the other user. Corsair seems to be responsive, as can be seen by their concern (and reply) to these comments. It was actually a selling point for me. Hopefully, I don't have to test their support :)
