Allow the TV to access the internet
Pros: In my review below, I forgot to mention the updates from Vizio. Let your TV connect to the internet for a brief time after you buy it. Even if you have no plans to use the apps or web features. Allowing the TV to connect to the internet will auto download and install the newest software (Dec 19, 2012) ((at time of this post)) for your product. Mine came with with (B) installed. Upgraded to (E). Or something close to that...in short, it needed the update.
Cons: Pairing with the remote was problematic with the shipped firmware but workable at the first start-up screen. Pairing post setup (and update) was a breeze. Not a con really, just a fyi
Overall Review: I love this tv. Gaming, TV, Movies...all good. It will look amazing. and for 750 usd...;-)
Waiting 2 See
Pros: Feature rich. Gen 3. Ivy Bridge ready. Looks great. Fair price point. Bios makes overclocking fast and easy.
Cons: Mobo will not detect my ram in dual channel slots. Ram checks-out on Memtest. Single slots work fine. I get an instant Dr Debug error #45 the second I power up the system if sticks are seated in any of the dual channel slots. Sent Asrock support an email. Waiting...
Overall Review: Love the board just disappointed over my ram issue. If I can fix that. 5/5 eggs. I'm hoping to hear back from Asrock soon!
Pros: 1st Make sure you connect the tv to the internet (even if you have zero plans to use the apps) so it can update the firmware. 2nd Research freight companies in your area and find the least expensive one. You have weeks left to return it so speed is not an issue. 3rd Return it This is the risk with recertified/reconditioned items. I have purchased 3 Vizio TVs from Newegg and all have been flawless...but even with new items, bad luck happens. 4th Expect no response from Vizio or Newegg in the comment section for recert/recon products.
Cons: Sorry mate, I hope the firmware fixes your issue but I do not think it will...worth trying however! Good Luck ;-)
Price + Size = Great HDD
Pros: Size, price, noise, temps & performance are all superb. Works just like it should.
Cons: so far...none!
Overall Review: For people somewhat new to installing bare drives, you will need to format this drive before it will show up. Ctrl panel=> System=> Admin Tools=> Comp Mgt=> Disk Mgt Then locate drive at bottom, pick a letter for it (ie. F or G etc) and format it :P Takes 20 seconds and is far better than paying for an RMA. Hope this helps and enjoy your new HDD! (directions are for Win7 but should be about the same for older OS. If not then Google is your friend; search "format bare drive XP or Vista")
