Pros: great price for a 1tb external
Overall Review: Worth it for a non-power cord 1tb external HDD.
Pros: Compatible With the Compaq Presario CQ57 laptop. No issues upon installation easy install and go upgrade.
Cons: None so far the memory has worked flawlessly.
Overall Review: As usual Newegg delivery was quick and memory worked great. My daughters are in college and laptops are same models and are a few years old. Only had 2gb of system memory.
Upgrade to 4gb made a big difference they said it's like having a new laptop again.
Pros: Seriously almost none except it does keep CPU cooler.
Cons: Not worth $40, I haven't changed my mind on how I feel about this product. It does keep CPU cool but just doesn't get good Heatsink to CPU contact which isn't a good thing. Had to take my hand power screw driver to get it somewhat snug on contact. And I DO NOT LIKE THE FACT I HAD TO USE A POWER TOOL on any part of PC no less for my CPU.
Overall Review: Seriously look else where this isn't a good option there is better spend the extra $20-$30 for a better one.
Gave extra egg only because it did improve CPU heat.
This issue is product based nothing to do with newegg as usual Newegg service is top notch.
Pros: $225.86 got in 3 days. That's enough pros for me.
People were quite negative on forums regarding 21:9 ratio monitors but I like the real estate. PC is connected through a Receiver that only supports 1920x1080 so had to go directly through the video card which isn't all that bad since I was using Optical anyhow.
The games I play Dying Light, Ryse , Dragon Age Inquisition & Farcry 4 all support 2560x1080 and barely lost frame rates.
Cons: Nothing Newegg or Antonline did but UPS driver was brutal just slammed the box down like a cinderblock.
The packaging was good as far as cushion but the top was barely taped together. Since it was insulated so well it didn't receive any damage.
Overall Review: I was really concerned about using a 3rd party seller on Newegg. But it arrived fast and in working condition.
Pros: It is very easy to install and use.
As long as you drop the CD in and install all drivers and software it will go very well for you.
Cons: Can't think of any next to can't tune in any pay channels no Encore but that was expected
Overall Review: weather you connect a HD-Antenna or a Fios or Brighthouse cable line you will get all the basic locals and expanded cable channel;s and can record them very easily through Windows Media center.
There are other options but if your not a techie then just use Windows Media Center.
If you want to really get into the Home Theater PC then get XBMC and configure it how you like.
Pros: Games were free with the purchase of the HIS ICEQ Radeon R290x.
I picked Sniper III, DiRT3 & Murdered Soul Suspect
Cons: Well the only game I really liked was Sniper III. I have played Soul suspect for a littl;e while a few months back it's okay but the picks they gave it was the better of all selections.
I see others were able to select Thief and a few other games that were better the games I picked Sniper II-$49.99 , Murdered Soul Suspect also $49.99 and Dirt 3 is $24.99 not $150 worth of games at all.
Pros: Cost, cost, cost! This dedicated PSU will allow you to upgrade for quite a few generations.
Setup is pretty straight forward. I've always purchased the Thermaltake dedicated VGA PSU.
But the ePOWER so far is just as good and will power the Titan without an issue could power 2 in SLI.
Cons: I couldn't think of one really. It worked from day one and is still doing so.
Overall Review: As I stated i've always purchased the ThermalTake Dedicated VGA PSU. Owned the 250w and have the Thermaltake 450 in my main PC. My sons PC uses the ePOWER it replaced the Thermaltake 250 he had.
So far it's powered a 560 and 770 no problem.
Pros: It responds great. Is small but keys aren't so small you fat finger when typing. Even can work as a regular remote for XBMC/Windows Media Center. I setup WMC TV to be integrated into XMBC.Because it's the only option to play channels that are copy once. The remote controls both flawlessly.
Spent $17 for it and am not having buyers remorse it was a solid purchase.
Cons: Battery is internal this is not so great it's basically throw away after battery dies.
Easily could have been powered by 1 AAA battery and not have to compromise the size of KB.
Integrated mouse works and responds to movements but is sensitive to touch so a slight tap could start an app while intending to just move on by it.
Overall Review: Other than the 2 things I posted as a con it was worth the purchase.
Pros: It is quite easy to setup. "Just read about it 1st it's not much time and worth the knowledge"
Once it's setup you pretty much can watch TV anywhere.
Cons: The only con I found has nothing to do with Homerun Prime. It's dealing with cable provider getting your Cable Card activated. Not everyone will have this issue but I did. Had to speak with 4 different reps at Verizon on 2 separate days to finally get HBO & Cinemax working in Windows Media Center because the previous reps didn't activate the card 100%. Was partially activated.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this product I can record multiple channels at 1x and share my recordings with friends if I want to.
Can watch Live TV on my cell on the road using InstaTV and connecting to my HDHomerun box.
Simply awesome my kids love that they can even watch live TV on their tablets. Playstation 3 ,360 find it without any problems. Watching TV on PC as I type:-)
Pros: Cost to performance is great!
Low profile fits great in HTPC and handles Video & HD Video great as well
Gaming wise I am pleased I didn't expect much only have a few games installed on HTPC and most are multiplayer.
Guitar Hero III 1080P/Max detail smooth gaming
Resident Evil 5 1080p/High Detail smooth gameplay
Dead Pool 1080p/high detail smooth gameplay
While these games aren't to be compared to Crysis series and NO the card couldn't handle any of the Crysis games but the games that I do play in living room with the kids/family play great!
Almost considered not getting this V-Card and now i'm very happy I did.
Cons: ATI/AMD drivers aren't quite as good as Nvidia but no reason to pass on this card.
Other than that NONE.
Overall Review: Bottom line it's a HTPC V-card that can handle some gaming which is great if you have a family. Most family/multiplayer games usually don't require high end graphics cards.
If you are building a HTPC and are on a budget this card will do better than you expect.
Pros: The price is great.
Cons: I really was in high hopes for the Bulldozer chip and was hoping for miracles regarding this one Piledriver.
Overall Review: While it's not faster than Intels Core i5 in gaming and other benchmarks. It still does manage to beat out the i5 & i7 in other benchmarks.
Regardless of Benchmarks that showed Intel clearly take the performance crown. It is a huge gain for me personally I knew what I was getting when I ordered it so i'm not disappointed at all with it's performance. I don't regret staying with AMD for one second I probably will always buy AMD.
Pros: Everything I can think of at this point. It plays Crysis 3 at Maximum detail 1920x1080 2x AA 16xAF smooth as butter.
Doesn't get above 55c on load holds at 32c idle.
I don't do benchmarks so I can't throw what the FPS are holding at max and min. Just can say that it runs smooth as hell. Games I tried all maxed at 1920x1080 and ran smoothly are Farcry 3, Crysis 2, Crysis 3,Dead Space 3,Skyrim, Ghost Recon Future Soldier & DiRT Showdown.
Cons: Only a few I can think of but wouldn't take an egg off for them.
The size of the card and price.
Overall Review: If you are considering this card you WILL NEED a FULL TOWER. There just is not enough room in a mid size for it. If possible get a full tower that has a large fan on the side for extra cooling of the VGA card.
Also suggest a Dedicated VGA PSU Newegg no longer sells them. VisionTek is the only brand I know of that still makes a dedicated VGA PSU it's 450watts "Plenty of juice to easily run 2 cards in SLI so 1 card is easily powered" and costs $58.
I tested the card on my old setup which was a PhenomII(920) Quad core,8 gigs ddrII @ 800mhz and the card just wasn't running at it's best due to the bottleneck you will want this installed on a Intel core i5 (3570) or i7 or an AMD-FX (8350) 8 core Piledriver CPU to get maximum potential of this video card.
Pros: The memory worked as advertised no issues at all.The Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990X found all 4 sticks no issue automatically clocked it @ 1600. Was easily able to clock it at 1866 or 2133. I only wanted 1866 memory but since the 2133 was exact same price I ordered it instead. felt no reason to clock at 2133 but did clock and left it clocked at 1866.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I read others state they had issues getting it above clock of 1600. If you are at average level of PC repair and upgrades then you will know how to get the clock speed you want.
Cons: Nothing but issues with memory.
Pros: Stated could be crossflashed with 624b FW that was a mistype the 124b can be crossflashed with the 524b FW.
624 has hardware "Lightscribe" that 124 doesn't so they aren't crossflashable.
Overall Review: That's all folks
Pros: It fit perfect into my Xcilo Windtunnel Case.
At a good price point.
Blue LED lights for fan as the case came with originally.
Cons: Unfortunately it eliminates the use of the fan control & power button on the Xcilo Case. This is why I gave 4 stars.
But this is really not a con if you use on any other case.
Overall Review: It pushes the air I need in my PC case and the lighting matches my other 220 fan that sits right next to it on the side of my case.
Pros: Gets solid frame rates in DX9 &10 games.
Supports Dx11..Battlefield Bad Company 2 running DX11 all maxed smooth as can be.
Crysis all maxed using x64 .exe 4xaa smooth at monitors max resolution 1620x1080
Runs cooler than my old Geforce 260.
Always buy EVGA so to me this is a PRO. Thier Warranty's are always solid.
Cons: The price I beleive will drop soon enough so price at this time.
Overall Review: My setup is a Athlon 64 Phenom2 x4 3.2 Ghz CPU,4 gigs DDRII 1066.
And seems to pretty much handle what I threw at it with the exception of Metro2033 at full detail max resolution got some slow dow. Should mention I did not do any updates to the game if there is any.
Using the newest Drivers from Nvidia for Vcard & mainboard.
Pros: none- Cheap
Cons: Everything blew out as soon as I plugged in the power cord.
Still waiting for return info so I can get a refund!! Newegg hurry!!!!
Overall Review: Stay away.
Pros: I can not give an honest assesment regarding this PSU.
But at the low price of $49 with free shipping seems to be a perfect fit since I use a dedicated 450w Thermaltake VGA PSU so this 530w PSU should hold true for the basics of powering the PC components Mainboard,Hdds,DVD-BR-drives and fans & accessories. Only thing I would question is using this PSU for PC and the high powered cards of today I find it hard to imagine this PSU could handle such a strain. But if you have a dedicated PSU for those high end Vcards that require power then this PSU should be a dead ringer at this price point.
Cons: None yet will post "real review" after reciving this product and testing it in real time.
Overall Review: Waiting to try and post valid review
Pros: The CASE IS ROOMY!!
Did I mention how big this case was?
This is the first full tower I have ever purchased I always stayed with mid towers for space reasons but after this purchase i will never go to mid again for my desktop PC.
Harddrive placement is awesome and the lockin racks for the hdds are great.
The Geforce 260 in my old mid tower with the side off and fan blowing on it at idle was at 40c and over. With this new full tower case it is at 36c-40c steady.
Case temp stays at 24c idle and 25c when gaming.
The side fans are silent and have speed control and can also be turned off if you so wish.
Came with ties for wire management, all screws you could need for mainboard installment plus more!
Also came with a nice pouch so you can save all your case covers that are taken off for your cd/dvd drives.
Cons: It did not come with any exaust fans you need this for proper circulation.
The power & rest wires were way short they almost did not make it to the mainboard very close fit.
These issues are minor and do not hurt the over all value and quality of this case.
Overall Review: Get rid of those mid towers and get into a full size case it's well worth it and is much easier to work with!
Air circulation is better and no need to squeeze your hands around everything for upgrades and minor changes.
Pros: 5 eggs because 1066 as advertised.
Worked without a flaw on my Biostar M2/AM2+ 8200 mainboard. /With 1 exception read cons.
Cons: Not really a con- In order to work on my mainboard at 1066 It needed Bios update I don't blame the ram for this.
Pros: does its job shouldn't even be reviewing this I seriously doubt other look at reviews for a plug??
Cons: Little expensive make sure you order with other things.
Pros: with a PhenomII 2.8 GHZ stock and 4 Gigs of 1066 Kingston HyperX ram and Biostar m2+/AM2+ Geforce 8200 mainboard at 1680x1050 Crysis Warhead set to ultimate runs smooth did not do FPS but seems very smooth in action.
Gears of war maxed it don't studder anymore.
Mirrors Edge with PhysX using the onboard graphics from Biostar board eats it up.
This card is great for 1680x1050 resolution anything higher I would suggest a GTX 280,285,295 for higer
This card works just fine using my old Dedicated Vcard PSU from ThermalTake a 250 W max 300W PSU.
Cons: Can't think of none
Overall Review: Good card for the low to mid $200's
Pros: Awesome overclocker with the BIOSTAR TForce TF8200 A2+ AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200.
Clocks at 1066 fsb and OC's to 3.2 easily and stable with all stock cooling.
The price is insane for this performance.
Overall Review: Get it
Pros: The mainboard seem to be stable with the Phenom II after bios update.
Then can run a Phenom II 920 2.8ghz at 3.2GHZ at 1066 FSB no problem stable.
Great for this price.
Cons: With Phenom II it will boot with the bios that was on the board.
But inorder to get this stable in anyway you must do a bios update!
If you do not OS will freeze.
Overall Review: I would recommend this board to a friend.
