great value

Enzotech Sapphire Series SCW-REV.A CPU Waterblock
Enzotech Sapphire Series SCW-REV.A CPU Waterblock

Pros: Awesome block for the price. You'd have to spend close to $100 on an HK 3 to beat it's performance, and nothing is less restrictive. Great build quality; solid copper. Great packaging and accessories.

Cons: 1366 compatability requires an adapter. And rather than providing a different top with different holes, it is a plastic bracket that attaches to the motherboard. It works great, just isn't as clean as I'd prefer.

Overall Review: Unless you absolutely need every degree out of your system, there's not reason to buy any other block. This block performs within 1.5c of the best block out there and is less restrictive. It's also less than half the price.

Not Durable

CORSAIR Vengeance 24GB (6 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ24GX3M6A1600C9
CORSAIR Vengeance 24GB (6 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ24GX3M6A1600C9

Pros: Runs at rated timing and voltage.

Cons: I'm about to RMA my second set of this memory in 6 months. The first set I had lasted ~4 months before a stick died. This set only lasted 3.

Overall Review: Aside from reliability issues, this is decent performing kit. I've used it on 2 different motherboards (1 eva, 1 gigabyte) with better results on the gigabyte board. A large rise in VTT was required to run this memory at the stock timings at 1600mhz. There also wasn't much room for overclocking. I had to reduce my OC from 4.6ghz to 4.2ghz when upgrading from a smaller, faster kit, but this was to be expected as there's much more stress on the memory controller. I'd love to see a similar kit with tighter timings (cas 7), or at least one I can rely on.

ripp off

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: good drives for $70. Pieces of junk for a dollar higher.

Cons: ripp off. newegg is price gouging. they've raised the prices of these drives before having to buy new stock.

Overall Review: I understand drive prices are going to go up. A 3X increase in only a few days in price gouging. It is illegal. Hard drives may as well be a commodity and newegg is trying to profit on market speculation. It's bad business, immoral, and not justifiable because others are doing it too.

loud

Hitachi GST Deskstar HD31000 IDK/7K (0S00163) 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail
Hitachi GST Deskstar HD31000 IDK/7K (0S00163) 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail

Pros: Cheap 1tb drive. Dependable enough for data storage

Cons: This drive is loud. I put 2 in an htpc and have had to remove them. It makes way too much volume while writing, which is constant when running a DVR setup. Pretty much any drive will be better than this for an htpc setup.

Overall Review: read and write speeds are decent, but there are better options in the price range. OK choice for NAS or other data storage, but I wouldn't use for a main drive.

almost perfect

EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard
EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great layout, overall feature set, and overclocks like a banshee. It even looks great and is inexpensive.

Cons: x16 x8 x4 x8. Need I say any more? The PCIe slots do not switch, so if you run dual sli or crossfire you're stuck with x16 x8. It's not the end of the world, but is certainly a small performance hit for high end cards.

Overall Review: I'm really disappointed with the pci-e layout. Everything else about the board is perfect, but it's really designed for someone running tri sli plus physx. Which is like nobody. Adding a 3rd card has about the same impact as having that 2nd slot be x16 instead of x8 with the highest performance cards. And adding an additional card for physX is a waste of power supply resources. Almost a home run with this mobo....But anyone planning on running tri-sli plus physX is most certainly going to budget a high end board.

thanks newegg

Microsoft Gift- XL Size T shirt
Microsoft Gift- XL Size T shirt

Pros: free shirt! thanks for the gift newegg.

Cons: I can feel all of the hip mac book users at starbucks glaring through me. "How Dare He?", they're all thinking. "Doesn't he know Vista is lame and broken? The cool guy on the commercial said so." And to finish blowing their minds, I order a plain, black coffee.

Overall Review: Great service from the newegg. I called to ask a for a little help; they liked me so much, they gave me a shirt.
