Best Motherboard for AM4 Chipset
Pros: -370 Chipset with easy bios options to overclock - Black PCB -Really good quality capacitors populate the board -Ram slots are far enough away for weird CPU cooler mounts. -Easy RGB adjusting through bios and gigabytes rgb fusion software. -Gold Plated Sound jacks -M.2 NVMe Slot ready for the future -USB type-C slot ready for the future. -Error code display on bottom of board for easier troubleshooting -OC mode is hit or miss but seems to give my 1600x a slight 0.2Ghz Stable OC (Needs activated after every boot) -Simple bios and tons of fan headers - Easily enabled XMP on 3200 speed ram from corsair. - ALOT of bundled in free optional software like 1 year premium Xsplit streaming service, 1 month of norton and so on. - Comes with Sexy Aorus velcro Cable ties.
Cons: -A few of the LED's are EXTREMELY bright. ( bright enough to distort pictures being taken of it while running) - Sometimes will not recognize mouse inside of bios - Ive had issues with a f9 error code giving me 2 minute long bootloops until it boots stable. (Re seating my rx 580 solved this) -Looks so pretty that you dont want to take it out of the anti static bag.
Its okay
Pros: It is okay for a starter. I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. It works with Rocksmith aswell. Everything is included. It even comes with a set of second strings.
Cons: The paint job is pretty basic. There was some paint on the frets. The microphone was loose when i had received it, but I attached it. It feels and looks cheap, probably because it is.
Ran into Several Issues, Please Read.
Pros: -Beautiful flagship card by Gigabyte's new brand AORUS -RGB's were easily adjusted using Gigabytes simple software to change colors and effects -Gorgeous thick backplate with copper insert over the gpu. -Silent when idling and during use (The Fan stop indicator seems impractical but i was still intrigued by it.) -Coupled with a freesync 144hz monitor, it did a fabulous job running Dota 2, Metro 2033 Redux and a few other titles above 140fps consistently. -When I ran into my issues, Gigabytes Customer support was decent to responding and supplied educated responses. Not as fast as i'd like but i did receive a reply within 2 days.
Cons: -This 2.5 Slot card is HEAVY. Even with the metal reinforced slots on my ax370-k7, the card managed to look like it was drooping out of the slot. (I had to rig something up before buying a GPU stand to make it look more secure. This is in a Mastercase pro 5) -Only the dual fan's on the super ridiculously big card. Would've been nice to have the trifan setup like on Aorus 1080 xtr editions. -Not crossfire Supported. -Okay so here is my story I purchased this card in the first week of may 2017, I installed the latest drivers on windows 10 64 bit and everything ran fine. I eventually wanted to start recording my Dota 2 matches and started using a dual monitor setup. Around 5/21/17 whilst running a 144hz Display port monitor and a 60hz HDMI connected monitor and updating to 17.5.2 drivers, I started having issues with the screens losing signal. I thought it was a software issue and I couldn't get it working. While switching Programs and opening Radeon settings both monitors would keep losing signal for around 2 minutes. When it stopped both monitors were at wrong resolutions. It would continue to do this until reboot with 1 display active. Thinking this was a software issue I deleted all gigabyte graphic controllers and to no avail, I reinstalled windows. 2 days later after letting it sit i booted and the same thing happened again so I contacted Gigabyte. They responded a day later and we went back and forth on what it could be. Before finishing up with Gigabyte I Decided to RMA through Newegg in hopes that a different card will give me better results. So far It was everything I needed while it was operational. I'll further update this when the replacement arrives and after a bit of time testing.
Overall Review: -Wonderful Card while it worked. -Perfect for running moba's at 144hz -Gigabyte Customer service actually responds -BLACK PCB :)
Best PSU i've ever purchased
Pros: -Fully modular so Cable management is a breeze -Comes with several EVGA pouches/bags to store excess cables -NICE braided sleeves on all wires. -Supports Crossfire and SLI
Cons: -The braided sleeves made the wires a little stiff
Overall Review: -This is honestly the best bang for your buck on PSU's
EASY XMP on Gigabyte Ryzen build
Pros: -Was easily detected and xmp enabled on AX-370 K7 board with f3 bios -LED's are soft white and not blinding while viewing -Wasn't Doa
Cons: -Corsair Link program is kind of wonky so i left them out of sync breathing which is okay -Not RGB
Overall Review: -Works well with AX-370-k7 and probably k5
The future is here
Pros: -Blazing Fast speeds on boot using windows 10 home 64 bit -Dota 2 Loads instantaneously. -Really low space consumption inside case. -BLACK PCB :)
Cons: -Sticker was peeling but it is underneath my GPU so no complaints.
Overall Review: -Recommended for everyone with m.2 slots
