Great speed up
Pros: One of my computers booted slow (1 minute and 24 seconds) since it was new. It came with a 6 gen I7 and 16 gigs of DDR4. Removed the old hard drive and installed this drive. I installed Win 10 and all apps anew, thinking that there was some trash on the old drive. Once all the software was installed, it then booted in 12 seconds.
Overall Review: Can't guarantee the same results for you, but it did wonders for my sad old box at a bargain price .
IR didn't work
Pros: Easy hookup, good picture, receiving end is POE
Cons: This unit was to connect video surveillance from the DVR to second floor monitor. The IR connection is mandatory to control the DVR from the second floor monitor. Due to some remodeling 30 days were long past before I put it in, consequently no return.
Overall Review: Because I've never used this brand before, I can neither recommend or not recommend it.
A good box at a bargain price.
Cons: I didn't like the blue lit front fan which is a little noisy. Replaced with a generic black fan which isn't noisy.
Overall Review: I decided to build a NAS (network access server) from a pile of leftovers. But I didn't have a box to put the parts in, this case fit the bill at a bargain price.
New engine for an old computer
Pros: Pull out the old processor plug in the new one. The speed difference is amazing
Overall Review: When my wife got a new computer, I moved her old one out into my workshop. I find that many repair or assembly problems were previously solved by someone else and posted on line. The old Acer Aspire M3400 was just fine for that kind of use. Sadly, I could take a nap while it booted up. I replaced the FX4100 that came in it with this inexpensive used FX6300. Since the FX6300 is supported by the bios, it was a direct swap. I am truly surprised by the performance difference.
Pros: The price is almost unbelievable. The specs look great I7 3.4 GHz, 16 GB DDR4, 1TB Drive, etc.
Cons: I bought this for my wife, to replace her 5 year old refurbished Acer Aspire M4350-URP30, AMD FX4100 3.6 GHz with an added Vid card and 16 GB of memory. This new computer is slower than the old one. There has to be a problem with the MOBO, bios or something. I guess the old adage, "buy cheap, get cheap" still holds.
Overall Review: Probably OK for a general use family computer. It will accept a low current video card.
Don't buy ASRock products
Pros: It was inexpensive
Cons: June 2015 - I built a new machine around this board with an AMD 8350 4 Ghz. I fired it up on Win 7 and upgraded to Win 10 in August 2015. There were several problems with Win 10 as you already know. I struggled though most but it would go black screen and reboot. After trying all the OS fixes, I started changing components. A new power supply, a new video card, new RAM, nothing helped. Finally, after running Memtest 86 and getting so many errors the program quit running, I decided it has to be the mobo. Requested a RMA from ASRock, go it, filled it out, they came back with 'out of warranty' and will replace it for $50. I already paid for it once and aint gonna pay again. I believe the problem was a over heating MMU. Bought a Gigabyte board - plug and play!
Third time is a charm
This was the third time I ordered a motherboard from suppliers in China. The first sent a motherboard that I didn't order and couldn't use. The second decided after about a month that they didn't actually have the motherboard that I ordered. With some hesitance, I tried again with Sennow. They sent the motherboard that I ordered and in the condition described. It took a while to get here but with the logistic problems at the time that wasn't surprising. After mounting all the components and putting it in a case, it posted and booted right up. Very happy with this supplier.
Do not buy from this seller
Ordered MSI H110M-A PRO M2 LGA 1151 Intel MoBo on 1/9/2022. Was shipped a B150mmortar which I couldn't use. They could have emailed me before shipping it. I see they have another MSI board listed again. After the Newegg CSR set up a RMA for the return, it took two weeks after they received the board to schedule a refund. With just a 75% positive rating, I should suspected there might be a problem.
