Works fine

HGST DeskStar NAS 3.5" 6TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s High-Performance Hard Drive for Desktop NAS Systems Retail Packaging 0S04007
HGST DeskStar NAS 3.5" 6TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s High-Performance Hard Drive for Desktop NAS Systems Retail Packaging 0S04007

Pros: Works fine, as advertised. About the warranty, one review was over dramatic about a FALSITY that it stated, that supposedly it will apply a warranty from the date of sale to the reseller, which is plain wrong. As per the link PHILLIP V provided (the one who made that false statement), here's what it actually says (http://www.hgst.com/support/hard-drive-support/warranty-returns/warranty) : "A valid proof of purchase may be required to prove eligibility. If you do not have a valid proof of purchase, the limited warranty period will be measured from the date of sale from Western Digital to the authorized distributor." IN SHORT : if you don't have a proof of purchase, the warranty is measured from the sale date to the reseller. Which is still good, since many manufacturers who don't get a proof of purchase will simply deny their warranty.

Cons: None yet

Most Critical Review

Very good at first glance, can't be customized (read "Cons") thus 2 eggs

Rosewill Blitz K50 RGB BR Wired Gaming Tactile Mechanical Keyboard, Outemu Brown Switches, 14 RGB LED Backlight Effects, NKRO, Anti-Ghosting, 6 Macro Keys, Dedicated Media Controls, USB Passthrough
Rosewill Blitz K50 RGB BR Wired Gaming Tactile Mechanical Keyboard, Outemu Brown Switches, 14 RGB LED Backlight Effects, NKRO, Anti-Ghosting, 6 Macro Keys, Dedicated Media Controls, USB Passthrough

Pros: It will take a slight learning curve to get used to the keys as they are smaller than my previous keyboard, but they "feel" good. The travel for actuation is about 2 mm, before full travel to the board. At first glance, I'm happy and the RGB colors aren't too bright, though the light-through on the keys display the characters very clearly.

Cons: The software doesn't exist on Rosewill's web site, thus it's not possible to customize anything! Hence, if you press any of the M1-M5 settings, you will lose backlights on all characters for good (only those that are used for gaming, and not all at the same time)! Searching for "BLITZ K50", or "BLITZ K50 Engine Suite.exe" as mentioned in the little manual, leads to nowhere ("No results found")!

Overall Review: Good keyboard, but useless as the software has been removed from Rosewill 's Web site (Why, Rosewill, why ?!?!?!)! If I can't find it somewhere else, I'll return this keyboard. Come on Rosewill, put the software back!

Lots of noise!

Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM, Heavy Duty Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 3000 RPM (140mm, Black)
Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM, Heavy Duty Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 3000 RPM (140mm, Black)

Pros: - It moves lots of air at a very high static pressure and is very efficient at it - It's not ugly-beige (finally, Noctua understood that the paradigm systematically associating beauty with poor performance, is a very weird - if not deviant - dogma more than anything else)

Cons: These are overpowered... And NOISY! A very obnoxious high pitch starting at around 1200-1500 RPM. Having known this, I would've have bought these "industrial over-powered" fans (usually, a good static pressure fan at around 2000RPM max should be more than sufficient for most builds involving radiators).

Overall Review: I bought three in prevision of having a 80mm thick 280mm radiator in my PC, if not for shooting air with lots of static pressure, or running at half-speed max for thinner rads ( 44mm or less). Don't go the same route I took if noisy fans bothers you (which it will).

Delid-Die-Mate X - Tool From "der8auer" for delidding of the Integrated Heat Spreader [Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X only]

Pros: Ce n'est pas un outil, c'est une oeuvre d'Art / It's not a tool, it's a Work of Art

Cons: Ne décapsule pas les bouteilles de bière / Doesn't work with beer bottles

Overall Review: Ma première utilisation fut sur un Intel i9-7940X, avec succès. Maintenant je peux aisément atteindre les performances du récent i9-9940X, et plus encore / My 1st usage was on an i9-7940X, and it worked flawlessly, now I can easily reach the newest i9-9980X's performance levels and beyond. Looking up to offer this on more client builds...

Top notch

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 4000 (PC4 32000) Desktop Memory Model F4-4000C18Q2-64GTZR
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 4000 (PC4 32000) Desktop Memory Model F4-4000C18Q2-64GTZR

Pros: - I bought these for the ASUS WS X299 SAGE 10G (in the QVL) - CL18 for 4000MHz means timings of 4.5 ns, which is very good for that frequency and capacity vs its pricing (good value)

Cons: Have to search as this model seems to be manufactured in very limited quantities (although there was a restocking lately, but for not so many, which makes its pricing to vary a lot between resellers - Currently, Newegg has the best deal). As for many High-End parts on the Canadian market...

Excellent motherboard

MSI PERFORMANCE GAMING X399 GAMING PRO CARBON AC sTR4 AMD X399 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI PERFORMANCE GAMING X399 GAMING PRO CARBON AC sTR4 AMD X399 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Running RAM in XMP level 2 (3200), and a Threadripper 1950X CPU OC'd at 3.9 GHz on all cores while solely using an active cooling solution (Noctua)! With 2x GC in Crossfire, I also have 2x SSD in RAID0 for the OS, 2xM.2 Samsung NVME in RAID0 for the applications, library files and Windows swap file, and 2x Crucial 1TB SSD in RAID0 for user's documents and production files. This board rocks!

Cons: BIOS update is touchy : the only method that works is via BIOS flashback using a max 2GB Fat32 USB stick, which must be inserted in THE sole port that's dedicated for flashback (look up the manual), and then a BIOS reset via the Clear CMOS button (above the BIOS flashback button). It took a while, and almost an RMA, to figure this out as the BIOS feature for updating itself doesn't work (more over, do NOT try this via MSI's Live Update application - which is flawed bloatware, don't use it). That's why I've removed an egg since it made me lost valuable time to figure it out - and thus money.

An anguished "Ok"...

One week after I've received all the parts from the same Newegg sale transaction, I was still waiting for BidDeal's order involving one of the parts. So I e-mailed them, twice, simply asking if the shipment was on the way since there was no tracking number whatsoever. I haven'ty received any answer, and was axiously and anguishingly looking up the order every day for some tracking number or at least a reply, but nothing... Until a week later I finaly received the part in question. This reseller is NOT ready for decent e-commerce activities.
