I have been building and repairing computers since the XT in the 1980's. I build a lot of custom computers and also repair and upgrade computers as well. So many more gamers now than when I was gaming in monochrome. And they all want 30 series video cards. Which I can't get easily.

Never worked! DOA!

EVGA 850 B5, 80 Plus BRONZE 850W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply - 220-B5-0850-V1

Pros: If it doesn't work then there are none. It sure was pretty though. Very modular with a huge fan. Maybe the fan still works? Maybe I can donate it to the local college electronics class? Those would all be Pros I guess.

Cons: I was hoping this would be the same caliber as my 850-watt Thermaltake but without the light show. But I could not get a peep out of it. The motherboard didn't turn it on and neither did the included jumper socket in case you want power but do not want to plug it into the motherboard.

Overall Review: I tested everything short of disassembling the unit on the chance they want to have it back. The power cable was good. I tested with a meter. I tested the output with the meter just in case the fan circuit didn't get plugged in? I tested by putting a hard drive load on it because "some" power supplies used to need a load and I have no experience with EVGA power supplies in some time. Can't recommend something that has the off chance of being DOA because clients don't need escuses as to why their computer is not finished.

Product is nice but

Pros: No worries about overheating at all, Can be pretty with colored lights and other eye candy.

Cons: This did not come with ANYTHING necessary for hooking up the water. There should be a kit offered, possibly two kits. One being minimal like OEM units with integrated pumps that don't have holding tanks and other that has all the pretty stuff including tanks with the pump The biggest drawback is price. Newegg is basically charging midrange scalper prices for all their shuffle items. Compare to MSRP that I have been getting from Best Buy albeit sitting in a line all day.

Overall Review: I dunno. It's not even a TI card. It is also hash rate-limited so if you mine when you aren't gaming your ROI is going to be twice as long. I don't think id buy it again honestly. It's a cool card but the price was not a good deal and I was down another week and another $250 in parts to get it all working.
