It's a Screamer!!!
Pros: This thing is fast, light and easy to use. Graphics, sound & such are great.
Cons: I think my wife is going to steal it from my son - - - it's just that good.
Overall Review: If it didn't mean there would be 3 identical devices in the same house (to get confused), I'd buy 2 more - one for me and the wife.
Trash - the 2nd time also
Pros: Fits inside the computer.
Cons: Loud. Out of balance. Audible scratching during operation. Slow. Frequently stops working and starts a minute. Avoid at all costs - its cheap for a reason.
Overall Review: This was a replacement after an RMA of the same item. It is pure junk. There is nothing I can say that explains the disappointment in Seagate for making such a disdainful product. Worse, is that if I want to RMA AGAIN I still have to shell out more cash.
Pros: All 25 burned at 6x speed - No bad disks.
Overall Review: After being burned by some low cost LTH Kodak disks (1-for-25) I would recommend that EVERYONE pay the 50% premium and get these. In the long run (price per successful disk) these are the best value. Never buy LTH (Low to High) disks.
STILL running like a boss!
Pros: I've had this in my PC for 3 years. Still haven't bothered cleaning it. It just can't be stopped. It's quieter than my GPU fan, so can't complain. With a pretty modest overclock I still can't get the CPU temps over 49C; no matter how long I run Prime95. (Longest I ran was 2 hours).
Cons: Wish it could be turned 90d. But really, is that a 'con'?
Overall Review: 3 years. Quiet. Effective. What more can I ask of a $17 product? I have a SilentX cooler on my work machine, and the temps are the same. (albeit the SilentX is basically never spinning above ~40%). But for 2x the price, I'm ordering this one for my next build.
