Logitech X-240 25 Watts 2.1 Speakers
Logitech X-240 25 Watts 2.1 Speakers

Pros: Sleek and Small with pretty good sound. Cheap!

Cons: The control unit is cheaply made and cannot be unplugged from the subwoofer. This kept me from being able to route the cables through my desk in any usefull way as the control unit would not fit through the cable holes. Notice I refer to it as the control unit and not the "MP3 player dock" - they basically added a chintsy little piece of plastic to hold an MP3 player and you route your own USB cable or what not... it's just a marketing gimmick.

Overall Review: Yes the set has it's problems, but when you take the price into account you really cannot complain about anything - You would be very hard pressed to find a better set of speakers in this price range. As other's have said you need to find the sweet spot between your system volume and the unit's volume to get good sound from them, so spend a few minutes tweeking while listening to some tunes.

Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 100 Black 102 Normal Keys USB RF Wireless Standard Keyboard and Mouse
Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 100 Black 102 Normal Keys USB RF Wireless Standard Keyboard and Mouse

Pros: The price. The keyboard, while obviously cheap, still has a good tactile feel when typing.

Cons: Biggest Gripe: The way the battery compartment is accessed on the mouse. The top part of the mouse where you rest your hand doubles as the battery cover and regularly slides off during normal use. Very poor design, and very frustating. Minor Gripes: Somewhat short cable on wireless Dongle. Effective wireless range is limited. Keyboard has an overall cheap feel.

Overall Review: Had this been a more expensive set I would have given it 1 egg. Even for being fairly cheap this product isn't all that compelling. I would not recommend using this product as your main keyboard and mouse, spending the extra money here will make a big difference on the enjoyability and ease of your everyday computer use. I basically just picked up this set to use in bed for watching hulu etc on a TV hooked up to a spare PC. For this use it's perfectly fine.

Meh

Icy Dock MB882SP-1S-1B | 2.5" to 3.5" Bay SATA HDD & SSD Converter / Mounting Kit /Bracket | EZConvert
Icy Dock MB882SP-1S-1B | 2.5" to 3.5" Bay SATA HDD & SSD Converter / Mounting Kit /Bracket | EZConvert

Pros: It works. Installing the HD is a snap - no screws just place it inside and close the case and you are good to go.

Cons: Construction feels a bit cheap. It feels like the connecters on outside of the enclosure may come lose or break off easier than they probably should, but I could be wrong.

Overall Review: Seems a bit overpriced, but if you are buying an SSD to put in it I guess that is the least of you concerns.

Intel X25-M Mainstream 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSA2M080G2GC

Pros: Windows 7 + this drive = awesome. The best single upgrade I have ever bought for a PC.

Cons: Price of course. It will come down eventually.

So far loving it

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Very Solid board. Comes with a bunch of SATA cables. I didn't notice when shopping but also comes with external SATA hookup that goes into one of the slots on the back of your case... may come in handy some day.

Cons: No hardware (Screws, Standoffs, etc... included) I know these usually come with cases, but come on this isn't a bargain MoBo, they could throw in a bag of hardware.

Overall Review: Not really a con since in my experience it's the same across the board but the included utilities are pretty crummy.

Very Nice

Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Black Bluetooth Cordless Desktop Standard keyboard & Mouse Kit
Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Black Bluetooth Cordless Desktop Standard keyboard & Mouse Kit

Pros: Quality product. I love the way the keystrokes feel and am a big fan of the mouse. Bluetooth dongle instead of IR/RF has much better connectivity.

Cons: Expensive! Info display should be backlit.

Overall Review: I bought this as an upgrade from the much cheaper MX 3200. I was a bit hesitant - this unit is almost twice as much and I was wondering if it would be worth it. So far I would say yes - everything has a solid, quality feel that was somewhat lacking in the 3200. The change from IR/RF to bluetooth is also nice, and the mouse is simply incredible.
