Made for traveling gamers...
Pros: - Light weight, extremely thin - Run fairly cooler than most under heavy load - Innovative design with the expanding cover - Powerful, and runs everything I play - Neat right handed mouse touch pad that doubles as a number pad
Cons: - Battery life (expected as I feel it's purely made for a plugged in traveling gamer) - Not great on non flat surfaces because of the expanding cover (also expected) - Sound/Speakers have random loud or soft moments from same volume sound..pretty sure it's a bug/defect, but I played plugged in most of the time so it's not an issue for me.. sometimes my sound gets splatty from this bug at 20% volume
Overall Review: Hello, I'm a hardcore gamer that travels for 3 months a year for work. My way of recharging from work / burn out is to play games and so I need a light weight thin laptop that's powerful enough to support my gaming needs. This laptop contained all that I need to fulfill this--powerful graphics card and processor, a beautiful 144hz screen to mirror the one I use at home, and thin portable, but innovative cooling design that works great hopping around to different hotels/locations. I've used this on a plane (power plugged in of course) with a controller on a flight across the ocean before and this laptop fit on the standard United Airlines economy seat. I've used it on a train in Korea (also plugged in) and it fit for that too. I wouldn't recommend using this laptop not plugged in as you get about an hour ish of battery for basic usage. I also would not recommend using this laptop on uneven surfaces as the plastic on the bottom that expands feels like it would bend in an unwanted shape if I left it on an unbalanced/even surface for too long (ie. bed, my lap, etc). Do not get this laptop if you're looking for at home desktop replacement, mobile non-plugged in gaming, or for 'college note taking' laptop. While I believe it's great on the road plugged in for gaming, I would not recommend it for any other uses due to its poor battery life and philosophically I do not believe anyone should be gaming long term on any laptop.
