Got Lucky

AMD Phenom II X4 960T - Phenom II X4 Zosma Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HD96ZTWFGRBOX
AMD Phenom II X4 960T - Phenom II X4 Zosma Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HD96ZTWFGRBOX

Pros: Great price for a quad core as is. Can be oced to rather easily on air with after market cooler. I got lucky after unlocking extra cores with a boistar 990fxe i have it running stable at 3.675 Ghz at 1.4v on water. Even if you can't unlock the extra cores this cpu is still a great buy.

Cons: Only con is the stock heat sink that comes with it. Juts a block of aluminum. No copper core or heat pipes. Would have rather it been a few dollars cheaper with no fan at all. It's just gonna get scrapped

Overall Review: cores x 6 at 3.675 Bus 210, multiplier 17.5 16 gigs of gskills at 1680 9-9-9-24 Biostar 990FXE 5850 x 2 700 watt psu smiley face

XFX GeForce 6200 256MB GDDR2 AGP 8X Graphics Card PVT44AWANG
XFX GeForce 6200 256MB GDDR2 AGP 8X Graphics Card PVT44AWANG

Pros: It has Svideo. It plays dvds well. Good for small and customer builds. PLays some games pretty well.

Cons: Display for desktop on tv looks weak. Don't expcet to play fps games on this. To get decent frames have to set rez low and textures low. FOrgett aa and af laggs up on most games.

Overall Review: I said in pros plays some games well. i am reffering to 2d games. the sims was ok and some rts.

Does the job

BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G + SB850 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G + SB850 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: mATX board run AM3+ Handles an fx 8320 Can OC ( I don't reccomend!) I only get it 5 eggs based on price to performance and that it handle an 8 core cpu after a bios update np.

Cons: NO mosfet cooling Only 4 SATA ports That's it, no other issues with this board.

Overall Review: I have purchased 3 of these boards, and they have all served well under proper use. I was able to unlock the 2 extra cores on a 960t with one board. and we fried another OCing a 1090t to 4.0. hit 3.8 stable. think we cooked the mosfets reaching for the sky. The most recent one is in my htpc/steam box running a FX8320 with a CM n520 cooler for a few month, HD 7950, and 8 gigs of gskill 1600. Lots of video encoding and indie games.

SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter
SAPPHIRE 100924 Active DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter

Pros: It worked with out power supply.

Cons: Desk top would flicker any time i oced the gpus. Died after 4 months. Shorted card at display port forcing all monitors to go off.

Overall Review: Desk top flicker do to over clocking gpus caused by an issue with the bios in ati card. After over clocking gpu the bios would ignore one clock setting and use a different clock which forced gpu and it's ram to run really low. Causing flicker in display port. If you have this issue run gpu at stock should fix it.

Great Hardware

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100282-3SR
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100282-3SR

Pros: Replaced 4850's in x-fire. Not seeing a huge jump in performance but there is one. Considering it replaced two cards that where overclocked to the max, I am very happy. Loving the DX11 in BC2. Runs cooler then both the cards it replaces and use much less power. Playing every game i own at max 1650X1080. Cooler is fantastic, little ugly but great. No issues with it blowing hot air into case. cpu is water cooled and side panels are mesh so it pretty much an open air pc.

Cons: Just the length. Power cords pressed against hard drive cage in a more snug way then i would like.

Overall Review: Looking forward to a price drop to scoop up a second. Also a little concerned about water cooling this puppy. Nonrefrence design may force me to use a gpu only block vs something like an ek or dd full card water block. XFX odel with custom cooler is very nice aswell got it for a friend. no difference other then cooler. buy which is chaper

Great Bang for your BUCK!

AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition - Phenom II X3 Heka Triple-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - HDZ720WFK3DGI
AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition - Phenom II X3 Heka Triple-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - HDZ720WFK3DGI

Pros: Order 3 of these on my cousins' account since i was building them new rigs for school they got me one as payment. 1 out of 3 had a working 4th core. The two they are using are running at 3.2 Ghz in small case on air with low profile Zalman coolers, about 42c at full load. Mine running at 3.622 on water 32c at full load. Punches every thing in the face and gave my brothers Q6600 a run for it's money i only lost in decoding and ripping.

Cons: Only that 1 of 3 became a quad core.

Overall Review: We found the 3 cores vs 4 benched better in most games. Could be on a count that the fourth core was found unstable and maybe slowed the other 3 down, not really sure. Love this thing. I don't do much other then gaming on my pc and watch videos so 3 cores is just fine for me. The few bucks I saved buying this went to my water block. Oh yeah we got the retail versions which came with paper weights in the box. The heat sinks where basic, no copper core just aluminum blocks.
