Cons: - a power delivery setting had to be hunted down and adjusted in bios to stop Unraid from boot looping, but that isnt enough to dock an egg and is super scenario specific. Once I adjusted the setting it began working as intended immediately.
Overall Review: This sat in a box for 3 years, because I ended up never using it and building an ITX instead. Originally got it because I was going to do a white out build, but that just never came together. I pulled it out, finally, a couple months ago and stuck it in a Be Quiet case for my unraid server. Been working great. The 2 m.2 slots are great for this use, since I can have one m.s for a fast cache drive and one for an m.2 sata expansion card. MSI products have been reliable for me since I started building PCs.
Pros: Works as advertised. Has been always on for almost 2 years.
Cons: The green sticker doesn't look great, but that's okay haha.
Overall Review: Originally used for school when I had to put together a cheap PC for virtualization getting my degree. Now, combined with a WD Gold drive for media storage, this this goes down for a reboot once a week and is otherwise always on for over 2 years. Works great, no speed issues, even when I did play a few games off of it. I don't have unrealistic expectations, but I also am easy to please since I come from a childhood with one super slow computer.
Use whenever possible because they are inexpensive, but very reliable. No WD HDD or SSD younger than 10 years old has ever failed on me.
Pros: Rgb pro is finally in 16GB modules.
The ram runs at advertised speeds easily using basic bios settings.
The lighting works well, and iCue has been fine for me.
I am a new PC builder, and this ram has worked simply and done as advertised in my itx build. That’s all I ask for and it’s what I got.
Cons: Price, of course. But taking into account that all ram suppliers are at a high price right now this is fairly competitive for “pretty ram”
Overall Review: There is also a white choice, and with the RGB taken into consideration I think this ram can work well visually is a vast majority of builds. This is my first experience building a pc and I am happy with how easily this works with my Ryzen 5 itx system.
I have read mixed reviews about Corsair in general, but they have always had responsive customer support with me and helped me out as long as I was trying to process a valid RMA.
Their products have always worked well for me, and I’ve only ever had to RMA when I mistakenly ordered the wrong product for my project.
