No Problems

Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920
Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920

Pros: Shorter times to working desktop. Easily overclocked with minimal "research". Stable. Better performance at some tasks.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I am not a gamer. I had an overclocked Q6600 and although the i7 920 is noticeably faster at some tasks (video encoding in particular), it really is not by much. Not much difference in "everyday" tasks. When you factor in the cost of a new MB, memory, and aftermarket cooler, if you have a Quad core or higher end Core 2 Duo you may not want to spend that kind of money for small gains. But hey, it was Christmas, and I'll take a processor, MB and memory over shirts, pants and socks everytime!

Most Critical Review

Not Worth It

Digitron DT7701 HDTV TV Antenna
Digitron DT7701 HDTV TV Antenna

Pros: Small size, Indoor Antenna. Does get some reception, but I live close to broadcast towers. Nice paper weight.

Cons: Price. Picture lag.

Overall Review: Don't be fooled....I was. A $19 set of "rabbit ears" from Radio Shack outperforms this antenna. There is really no such thing as a HD antenna....an over-the -air antenna is an over-the-air antenna...that's it. Unfortunately I did my "research" after purchasing this product, and of course it is non refundable. It works...but NOT as well as the above mentioned product. I use it now as a paper weight.

Replacement is great

DELL Grade A Laptop E6220 Intel Core i5 2.50 GHz 4 GB Memory 128 GB SSD 12.5" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit
DELL Grade A Laptop E6220 Intel Core i5 2.50 GHz 4 GB Memory 128 GB SSD 12.5" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

Pros: I received the replacement from Newegg promptly. This one shows less wear, has a better keyboard, and shows no signs of motherboard issues. Also, it runs less hot than the previous one, the fan runs less often. As I previously stated, I believe this is a great computer for the price for everyday computing, provided you don't need a larger screen.

Cons: The only con is that the image seems to imply there is a webcam. There is not. I guess it is like any refurb...you pay your money and you take your chances.

Overall Review: As always, Newegg's service was great and I am completely satisfied with the replacement they sent me.

Don't crash it...but you will!

Double Horse 9053 Volitation Remote Control RC Helicopter
Double Horse 9053 Volitation Remote Control RC Helicopter

Pros: I got this at a great price $59 at Newegg with free shipping. Great fun as long as I am not waiting for parts.

Cons: Do not fly in any wind. Blade strikes. I have a mini gyro and a 9074 both from Newegg on sale, both much smaller but much more forgiving if crashed. Might want to learn to fly with one of these. As mentioned, I strongly recommend the mods that can be found on YouTube. 1. Lower the bottom rotor ( mine does not hit the canopy). 2. Get larger or mod the tail blades. 3. Replace balance bar with one for the 9077.

Overall Review: These mods make this thing much more enjoyable and less likely to crash. Larger tail blades allows flying in "slight" breezes and makes it much more controllable. Blade strikes are a common complaint about the 9053. If they strike ( and they will) I have seen bricks fall slower. I give it 4 stars for the price and with the above mods.

Minimal Problems

ASUS P6T Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P6T Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Despite some negative reviews I had few problems. Many features and overclocking options. Booted first time. I had no problems mimimally overclocking a i7 920 so far. Recognized all my devices. Reset button on board instead of jumper pins. Great back panel connections.

Cons: Forget the adapter for the front panel connections--just install them directly on the board (the pins fall out of the adapter and make poor, if any, connection). Didn't like the processor lock, seemed as if you are "bending" the mechanism into place instead of "locking" it into place.

Overall Review: A lot of utilities I didn't need and uninstalled or keep from automatically loading at startup. Easier just to tweak in the BIOS rather than to learn "new" ulilities. Had some POST errors (did not keep MB from booting however) that took some time to sort out and correct. Most importantly-this MB booted first time!
