Excellent Computer For The Price
Pros: So far, I'm very impressed with this laptop given its price point. It is a very attractive looking and well-designed laptop as well. Card slot is on the front, all other ports are on the sides, including power. I like that. It boots from cold-start to Windows 7 very quickly. Office 2007 Ultimate installed from DVD in less than 10 minutes. The various MS Office apps load up quite rapidly. The integrated Intel GMA4500 graphics adapter handles the Aero interface without so much as a hiccup. It is also extremely quiet and it seems to run fairly cool as well. Dual-Core, 4GB RAM, 250GB HD = Nice!
Cons: * The 1366x768 resolution feels very cramped to me. That resolution is just not enough. * Because it is widescreen, there is a numeric keypad as well as a regular keyboard. However, the arrow keys are quite small and there are no dedicated Home/End/PgUp/PgDn keys. Must turn off NumLock to use those. * Shell is a nice-looking glossy black finish. But if you even get near it, fingerprint smudges appear. Not a big deal I suppose. But unless you constantly wipe it off, it looks dirty because the un-smudged parts are so shiny. * Integrated web-cam without a microphone is just plain dumb. What brainiac made that design decision?
Overall Review: Wish it had HDMI and/or eSATA, but tough to complain for 4xBenjamins. The pre-installed trial-ware and other stuff you may (or may not) want removes easily. Win 7 does a much better job removing stuff than XP.
Chair could not be assembled.
Pros: Seems like it is heavy-duty built. Packaged very well. Came with a really nice hex tool for assembly
Cons: The channel on the right side of chair back was manufactured upside down. There are 2 steel pegs welded that are meant to limit the inserts during assembly (easier to line up threaded holes). However, the pegs were on the wrong end which made it impossible to insert the pegs on the seat into the chair back. If it's possible to get an exchange, I may update my review. So far, this does not bode well though. How do you put in a major piece upside-down like that?
Overall Review: How 4GamerGear responds to my request for an exchange will depend on what happens to this review. [Are you reading this, 4GamerGear? ;-) ]
These Stay In Place
Pros: - Great for running, cycling, etc. - Long cable - Pause & Control volume without fishing out phone/iPod
Cons: - Sounds a bit tinny, but improves a lot after a break-in period - Due to the design of the earpieces, they catch on everything. Like a hook. - Included carry bag is too small
Overall Review: These are the only sports headphones I've tried that stay perfectly in place. Which I absolutely love. When running, I hate having to periodically adjust the earbuds. Never need to do that with these. For the sale price, these were well worth the cost. No more hassles with earbuds that fall out!
Sound Not As Good As Older HBS-700 Model
Pros: Long battery life, contoured neck wrap that makes it stay in place better, intuitive controls, comfortable ear buds
Cons: Lacks bass punch. Sound is shallow/tinny sounding. I had the older 700 model for many years and it sounded much better than this model. Too bad as I really like the design of these LG wireless headset. I use them almost exclusively for listening to music and the sound quality is sub-par. I was hoping that the sound would improve after a few weeks of using since some need a "burn-in period". But the sound is still lacking.
Overall Review: I like the voice confirmation of button actions. When it's around your neck, you can't see the buttons. So the voice response is a nice feature so that you know you pressed/slid the correct button. How LG managed to make a newer model sound worse than the older, I don't know. The old saying, "It is ain't broke, don't fix it" should definitely have been applied here.
Best Experience With A You-Assemble-It Product EVER
Pros: Excellent - EXCELLENT, I SAY - packaging, instructions, labeling. Kanto product and package design team should win an award. Example: The template that you use to mark for drilling on the wall (nice in and of itself) has a fold out pouch on the bottom so that the drill debris falls in the pouch instead of down the wall and onto the floor. That is thoughtful and useful design. The product itself is great also. Heavy duty, well built and it just works. Feels like it would hold up an elephant. Pull out, tilt and swivel ability are fantastic. Makes accessing connections on the back of a mounted TV a breeze. Integrated cable routing guides too!
Cons: None? Yep. None.
Overall Review: This was a bit more expensive than other mounts. Those typically did not have the pull-out & swivel. That alone makes it worth the extra $. But combined with the quality, design and mounting instructions make it an easy decision. Mounting this to the wall was the most pleasant you-assemble-it project I have ever done. I almost want to buy another one just to have that feeling again. But I'll wait until I actually need one :) Well done Kanto. Other manufacturers could learn a lot about how to package, label and design by examining this product. 5+
Good, But Lacking In Upright Mode
Pros: Easy switch between upright / canister vac modes. Strong suction. Easy dump of canister. Light and easy to maneuver.
Cons: Does not pull as much in upright mode as the prior Dyson upright I owned.
Overall Review: When using the attachments, the suction is very strong and it cleans extremely well. But when in upright mode, it just does not pull dirt from the carpet like the original Dyson I owned. I have one from 2004 that still works well, but the handle broke, so I can't use it as an upright. So I got the new one. The 12-year old one cleaned the carpet better than the new one. Not exactly sure why - suction is strong. I think it's that the rotating brush does not get as deep into the carpet as the old one. It works just OK, so I will keep it. But I have to go over some areas multiple times to get it clean. With old one, once was enough.
Quick delivery / Good value
I was hesitant to order from Jomashop after reading some of the other reviews, but I really wanted the watch and it was a good deal. Ordered late on a Saturday, it was delivered on the following Thursday. Well packed & protected. Watch was exactly as shown and in perfect condition. I would order from Jomashop again.
