Pros: - It does provide a quieter experience. The sound dampening does a good job. I replaced a larger Thermaltake HAF-X case. This case is much quieter
- Plenty of room for cable management and just simply getting your hands in there to do what you need to do.
- Simple and clean look. I really don't care for all the blinking lights and shooting colors that most cases have now.
Cons: - The built in fan controller can control 3 fans. Only 2 fans come with the case. Additionally, those two fans are the Purewings 2 instead of the SilentWing 3 fans.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a simple and clean case, I would recommend this one. It does what it's meant to do, no more, no less.
Pros: Monitor came pixel perfect. Spent an hour scanning the screen looking for stuck or busted pixels and couldn't find a single one.
The color is not bad at all for TN panel. I won't claim to be a color snob. I applied a color profile and with a little adjustment to the colors and brightness, it looks quick nice.
Overall Review: I was debating between this and the new Acer and given the many negative reviews on QC with the Acer machine, I opted to go with this one. I'm not disappointed in the least.
Pros: Besides the fact that this is one powerful card, especially for the price, my absolute favorite "feature" is how cool and quiet it is at load.
My last card, an AMD card, sounded like a vacuum at load. I can't even hear this one over my regular case fans.
Cons: None that I can think of or have encountered.
Overall Review: Couldn't be happier with this purchase short of buying the MSI 780 Ti Gaming card instead.
Pros: 1) It can be very bright if you want.
2) High 144 hz
It does everything as advertised.
Cons: 1) Just a touch too bright out of the box. Easily fixed by OSD and using a color profile which can be found easily.
Overall Review: Had a single stuck pixel near the middle of screen. Was able to quickly fix it by gently massaging it with the tip of a pen cap for a few seconds.
Pros: It's turbotax. Makes doing basic taxes simple and cheap.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Overall Review: Just be careful to pick the best version of turbotax for your tax needs. In most instances, I would say basic or deluxe will satisfy your needs.
Pros: 1) Simultaneous 2.4 and 5 wireless
2) Good distance on the signals
3) Easy to install/setup
4) Runs stable. No need to reset it even with up to 20 different machines/devices connecting and disconnecting since installed.
Cons: Personal preference gripe is that is lays flat instead of on end. There is a stand for it but that just angles it.
It's a minor gripe at best.
Overall Review: I generally hate buying routers. They all seem to have issues of some sort. I purchased this router based on current need and other reviews.
Pros: This system can put out the sound. I'd say 95% of people out there would be happy with this system.
Cons: 1) There is no competition for good 5.1 PC sets anymore. Kind of had to go with this setup unless I wanted cheaper PC specific speakers. And because there is no competition, these were more expensive than they should be.
2) I'm not a big fan of how big the control pod is. My other system had a much more compact control pad which didn't take up nearly as much room on my desk. This one just seems unnecessarily large.
Overall Review: Even with the few cons, one of which wasn't really against the speakers themselves, I still give it 5 stars. Its a solid system performs as advertised.
Pros: - Stable so far
- Not resource hungry
- Something new
- Works very nicely with SSD's!
Overall Review: I tried Vista. Wasn't a fan and went back to XP. After hearing all the good things about 7, decided to install it with my new build. Gotta say I'm impressed. Sure, its basically Vista, but a cleaner and better Vista. Navigating through your OS options and configurations is pretty neat. There seem to be buttons and links all over to get from one screen to the next.
When I look back at XP now, I wonder how I was able to work with it for so long. Its especially nice to install Win7 on a SSD. The speed and system responsiveness is unbelievable.
Pros: Good quality screen for a fair price. Zero dead pixels. Good color control.
Cons: The shipping box was trashed. It had lots of extra shipping tape all over the lid to keep it shut because the cardboard handle was torn off. I was little concerned about the contents but they were in good shape regardless of the outside of the box.
Some may not like the stand. Monitor can only tilt back and forth.
Overall Review: Not using the built in speakers to can't comment on those. This is my first wide screen monitor so it took a day to get used to the sheer size.
Default configuration was off so some manual configuration of the screen (color, brightness, contrast, ect) is needed. Not a big deal. You should be doing it regardless for any monitor.
Can't go wrong with this monitor.
Pros: Lower power consumption and fast!
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Was looking to increase system responsiveness and this little guy did the job wonderfully. Installed Win 7 on it and everything is pretty much instant. After POST, windows is loaded and ready to go in about 8 seconds. Window 7's version of the loading scrollbar (the colorful lights coming together) do not even have time to finish making the windows logo before it jumps straight to the desktop with all start items loaded and ready to go.
I can put it to and wake from sleep in seconds. Couldn't be happier with this choice.
Pros: Does what its suppose to
Pros: Runs solid out of the box. Stressed it running 3 instances of memtest for a couple hours with zero errors. Haven't set the timings yet to match what it can do. Will do that shortly.
Pros: This is really my first Intel cpu. I've always gone with AMD, but that was back when AMD actually out performed Intel. I went with what was best, now I'm doing the same.
Cons: pretty poor stock cooler. I tried it first and once I put on the Zalman, there was a 10c different in idle temperature just sitting in the bios. I didn't even test what would happen on load.
Overall Review: This is a sweet chip. I've easily overclocked it to 3.3 and could go higher if I needed/wanted to. Ambient temps on load sit around 23c idle and 40c full load. I'm of course not using the worthless stock cooler but Zalman 9700. Core temps are at 45c idle and never go above 56c on full load. In fact, the temps actually seem to have dropped a few degrees once I went past 3.15 ghz. (using Everest to monitor)
Pros: When it works, it works. First one was busted. Would shut down 5 seconds into anything intensive. Sent it back for a replacement. 2nd one is going strong.
Cons: IDE connection is in a very bad spot. Don't know why they decided to put it at the bottom below the graphics card.
Overall Review: I was thinking of switching out my second optical drive for a SATA one anyway since its the only IDE device I have left.
Pros: Bought this to replace my ailing Antec 550. This is a solid supply. Plenty of long connections for molex and sata. Voltages are steady and strong.
Pros: This guy overclocks like a champ. On stock cooling and voltage I got it up to 2.5 no prob. Can't go higher, not because of the cpu but because of my memory. If I had better memory, I could take this cpu another 500 mhz easy.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Pros: Got it with free shipping with UPS. Would rather have used Fedex but whatever. No dead pixels at all. Tried it out on a number FPS as well as some movies, no ghosting that I could see and I have some good eyes for ghosting.
Overall Review: Good sharp color
Comments: I bought this to replace a 2500+ barton core I had over clocked to 3200. I can't quite get the same FSB speeds some other below are getting, but I was able to hit 235 FSB stable with just the stock cooling. Its a very fast CPU. Couldn't be happier.
Comments: I just bought one to start off with. After getting everything installed and running, this card can handle anything. I was even able to over clock it quite a bit with stock cooling. Very pleased. Now I just need to get one more for SLI
Comments: I bought this supply for a new PCI-E system I'm building. It handles all the hardware I have without a glitch. Very good supply
