Solid Performance
Pros: Runs cool, accepts open source firmware, wifi range, readily handles my load - all at a reasonable price,
Cons: Netgear firmware limits security and potential - remedied with open source firmware.
Overall Review: This R7800 replaces a R7000 as gateway router. Moving the R7000 to a WAP/switch role. Never had a problem with R7000 other than occasional loading of 30 devices, including HD surveillance cams. R7800 runs 6-10 C cooler than R7000. I am not sold on the current marketed mesh gear after reading honest reviews. The R7800 covers a 1 floor 2500 sq ft space with no issues. Installed Kong's DD-WRT firmware runs great and secure. 4 TB Passport drive recognized instantly. The R7800 addresses my requirements now without adding cost for features that can not be used until later, maybe.
adequate
Pros: Reach, AC1900 throughput goodness
Cons: sloppy Antennae won't stay put. d-link GB-switch died after connecting to r7000. Coincidence? Nope and fanbois down vote by delusion & denial too.
Overall Review: After thoroughly shaking this thing out (90 days) I have the privilege to load any number of FW options. Have my eye on XVortex's Asuswrt-Merlin and Shibby's Tomato are at the top of list.
PoSitively never again.
Pros: Size
Cons: Died after 4 months use in router. Nothing demanding. Always slow. This product appears to be a dump for profit.
Overall Review: No more Samsung USBs.
Screen++ Audio --
Pros: Screen
Cons: After 9 months use and many system software updates I have no sound. I had it on install but nothing now. Originally using HDMI for audio/video. Now neither HDMI or patch cord produce anything.
Overall Review: No sound is irritating when you need an audio cue.
Winner
Pros: -Fastest in class -Resilient - survived left in pocket washing machine incident. Still working and still fast.
Cons: Cap can get misplaced - no impact on operational capability
Overall Review: In class comparisons to other USB flash drives from other leading makers and this Patriot is my clear winner. I can build a 2GB iso Linux boot disk with Yumi in about a minute. Boots quick, clean and fast too. No problems after 2.5 years of use. I'm a believer in this product after buying and trying many other makes of USB flash drives. Don't understand how people's rubber cover is coming off unless they are intentionally trying to destroy them.
Pros: Thick neoprene Price/Value Lifetime warranty Pocket Fit
Cons: Not sure the zipper pulls will last a lifetime but that is not a show stopper. Paracord pulls work and are quieter.
Overall Review: Got this for a Thinkpad T25. It fits ok but is not too snug. The neoprene is thick. Plus it has a nice deep pocket to store gear. This is a well designed sleeve and should provide secure protection. It looks smart.
