Pros: Hesitant to give any pros since this drive is junk. But: 1) This is *unfortunately* the only 1.5TB SATA in existance at the moment. 2) Dirt cheap at 0.07 per GB

Cons: I took a calculated gamble with this drive despite the horrible reviews here. This is the drive with the latest firmware CC1J, but the firmware is irrelevant I believe. Think about this next time you read any reviews: With a high volume rated product like this, compare the number of 1 star ratings to the number of 5 star ratings. Almost half as many people hate this drive as love it. Not a stellar recommendation. But a took a gamble despite that and lost. Drive worked fine even after stressing it out under heavy continuous stress test for 3 days straight. Confident that it worked, I rotated it into production only to have it fail within the week with a loud clanking and auto power off on boot. Shame this drive was ever allowed off the line, and I really trusted Seagate as my preferred brand for years. Might have to rethink that. Guess I will be waiting for another brand 1.5TB to appear, and not too sure what to think about Seagate now.
