Pros: Best SSD on the market.Excellent read / write performance.Great Warranty!Been using Samsung SSDs for 11 years now.
Cons: A little pricier than most other brands... but that's because Samsung makes their own NAND chipsets and controllers.
Overall Review: Wholeheartedly recommend these SSDs to anyone who wants a top-notch reliable SSD for their main boot drive.
Pros: Easy to install and configure.
Great use for extra storage.
Good price per GB.
Overall Review: I have been buying these MX series of Crucial SSDs for use as storage devices.
They seem to be very reliable and less prone to crashing compared to HDD.
Pros: Easy to setup and install.
The software provided was easy to work with.
Overall Review: Great video card for those users who are not extreme gamers.
Great for everyday use.
Pros: Easy to install and setup.
Very fast and no disconnects.
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this WiFi adapter.
Very fast and reliable.
Pros: Fast write and read speeds.
Red LED flashing activity indication.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this product.
Pros: 1. Fast and quickly loads whether it's Windows or Linux.
2. Red flashing LED activity indicator.
3. Small size and easy to carry
Cons: 1. Cap doesn't have an attachment point on end of drive when in use.
2. Wish cap had a point moulded on to attach a small string to keep from potential loss of cap
Overall Review: Crystal DiskMark utility shows the following:
CrystalDiskMark 5.5.0 x64 (C) 2007-2017 hiyohiyo

Date : 2019/10/18 8:42:14 OS : Windows 10 Professional [10.0 Build 18362] (x64)
Pros: Easy to setup. Color is vivid yet not too overwhelming. Easy access to the video ports and power.
As stated in the product's header: Visually Comfortable!
The Slim Frame Design is a nice feature with about a 3/32" bezel on three sides.
Cons: Stand is a little too wobbly for my personal taste. Speakers leave something to be desired, but then again who ever really uses the "built-in speakers" feature of a monitor?
Overall Review: This is not my everyday daily driver monitor, but it is my second ACER monitor. I use this to help build computers for other people and a major non-profit organization. I just got tired of hooking up and unhooking various monitors constantly to do the builds.
My everyday daily driver monitor, which I love, is the ACER K272HUL. That is one reason why I purchased the G24HYL model because I knew that ACER builds quality, rugged monitors with excellent readable screens that are easy on the vision.
Plus NEWEGG had a great deal on it which I just couldn't pass up.
Pros: Great resolution.
Cons: In early March 2018 this developed a bluish-purple vertical streak on the extreme right-hand side of the monitor about 1/8" wide or so. Went through all the suggestions via LG Customer Service.
So I sent it back for repair to LG in the USA and then they called and stated they were unable to repair it, had no parts or anymore new boxed units so upon verification of Newegg Invoice sent to them, they refunded the FULL price of the monitor and I opted instead for an Acer K2 Series K272HUL 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) IPS 4ms (GTG) Black LED Backlight LCD Monitor, at 60 Hz Refresh Rate, Eco Friendly Design, Visual Comfortable and Build in Speakers
I like this one much better and prefer the lower resolution... plus I was able to get it at a sale price of $254.98 plus a PROMO code which saved me $84.16 !! Happy Camper! Whoop!
Pros: Slim Bezel looks great!
Easy to use controls on front panel.
Great for watching ATT U-Verse TV on.
Cons: About a 3 second lag when switching from Display Port to HDMI or back again.
No adjustable height stand.
Power On blue LED is a little too bright, but not obnoxious.
Overall Review: Definitely would recommend this monitor!
Nice build quality!
HDMI and Display Port cables included!
Pros: Looks nice... that's about it.
Cons: Received a replacement today on 3-29-18, within 30 minutes the unit was disconnecting from the WiFi signal.
Save your money and don't waste your time with this! It's a P.I.T.A., this was the SECOND UNIT I have received and same results.
I am sending it back for a full refund, what a waste of time. Save time and money... Get a Netgear WNDA3100v2 better bang for the buck and works rock steady 24/7 !!
Pros: Was a decent HDD while it lasted.
Fast, seemed to be dependable.
Was used as a storage drive, not for the OS.
Cons: Went dead after 21 months of use.
Caused entire computer to freeze and lock up in the Windows 8.1 OS.
When removed from mid-tower case and plugged into a USB 3.0 Sabrent portable HDD connection it was not recognized by the system at all.
Overall Review: WARRANTY CAUTION!
Seagate only honors a TWO YEAR WARRANTY - FROM DATE OF MANUFACTURE!
I purchased this drive in 9-2013, DoM is 3-2013, so therefore I only had a warranty good for 18 months.
The warranty is NOT for how long YOU own the hard drive, it's based on the Date of Manufacture!
That's very poor customer service.
I'm going back to Western Digital this time.
I loved Samsung HDD but they sold that division to Seagate
Pros: The Pro Series of Samsung microSDXC cards are top quality and the speeds are as listed.
Verified with both HDTunePro and ATTO Disk Benchmark software. Used a Transcend USB 3.0 Smart Card Reader for the tests.
Overall Review: I highly recommend these cards. The $55 price was better than most prices for this same series card.
Their customer service rocks! That's why I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years!
(See more in the 'Other thoughts' section below.)
It was easy to configure and put out great signals.
The open-source firmware is easy to configure and get running to your specs.
Cons: The antennas on top feel flimsy and of poor construction. One popped loose while I was adjusting it.
The 5GHz band worked for about 4-5 days and then the transmitter would cut out about 70% of the time and then went dead. Buffalo's service techs tried to help me over the phone but it was no use. The last time I called them I was on hold for about 40 minutes with no one to respond to... just canned music and the occasional obnoxious "Please hold on... someone will be with you shortly."
Overall Review: After the 5GHz band went out I called Newegg Customer Service. They immediately issued me a prepaid UPS shipping label via email then I shipped it back to them that day. They received it 3 business days later and I was issued a full refund the next day.
You just beat good customer service like this!
Pros: Very good burner!
Nice sleek faceplate. The eject button is unique.
Fast accurate burns IF you use good quality media.
Cons: None so far as the burner is concerned.
Overall Review: Caught this bad boy on sale a few weeks back for $54.99 w/free eggsaver shipping
As I said above, be sure to get good name branded discs. Now it's true that some name brand companies use a private label suppliers.
STAY AWAY from Optical Quantum discs. Out of a cakebox of 10, I had 8 coasters. Some of the discs had visible flaws show up after burning. The flaws looked similar to dried drops of water on the burning layer.
A very good lower priced 25 GB disc is the Phillips. Not one coaster yet!
For the 50GB Dual Layer I get mine from Japan. Believe it or not less expensive than a lot I've seen online and shipping is fast. I am currently using the Victor - JVC labeled discs. Top quality too!
Next time this goes on sale be sure to snap one up. Heck, even if it's not on sale it's still an excellent choice.
Pros: Solidly built!
Fits my Lian-Li black aluminum case nicely!
Overall Review: Very well built and solid construction. There are many other front port USB 3.0 adapters out there made of plastic and don't fit or install tightly. This unit does!
Great Price Too!
Pros: Excellent tablet. The Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-core CPU rocks!
From pressing the power button to desktop is about 45 seconds with the Jelly Bean OS.
Graphics are top-notch and the Hi-resolution IPS+ LCD screen is a joy to behold.
Unit is lightweight and very thin. The aluminum back gives the tablet a good solid stiff feel. Practically no flexing at all.
The Gorilla Glass 2 screen is a joy to use. No screen protector needed with this glass.
Cons: No separate mini-USB port. One must use the 40-pin output port with a special adapter cable. (No eggs off for this though.)
The OEM-supplied wall charger is sub-par in my opinion. It worked fine for about 8 days and then it started getting VERY HOT during the charging process. One time it was so hot it almost blistered my finger.
(I have since bought a 3rd-party charger that is much more substantial with the same specs and it works much better.)
Overall Review: You won't regret getting this tablet. It is a joy to use and since upgrading it to the Jelly Bean OS it is smoother and more responsive.
I heartily recommend that one buy another wall charger. The OEM unit is not very good. I found one at that famous auction site for less than 1/2 price of the OEM charger and the charger is far superior to the OEM model.
Pros: Decent Price.
Fairly Responsive CPU & RAM.
Decent Charge Times.
VERY GOOD Audio Processor Chip! Better sound quality than my Creative Zen X-Fi 2 MP3 media player!
Newegg's Customer Service Rocks! FIVE STARS for Newegg Customer Service... ONE STAR deducted for first unit being defective.
Cons: First unit had defective micro-SDHC card slot. It wouldn't read the card and would not eject the card. I had to use a wooden matchstick to pry out my card.
Second Unit had a completely different model number and OS Launcher app. XTouch it was. Model #DFP-7005. Contacted site administrator at MediaSonic Forum website and he supplied me with the latest firmware update dated June 26, 2012. After the update all was good with model number and correct OS launcher.
Overall Review: Newegg was very helpful to replace the first unit which was defective, see above "CONS" comments.
Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. That's why I remain a very loyal Newegg Customer and have been for over 10 years!
Pros: Excellent SSD! Fast and easy to maintain!
Samsung SSD Magician software utility is top-notch! Very easy to use and better than several "pay for" SSD utility programs.
Overall Review: Wasn't free or buy one get one free! ;-)
Pros: This is an excellent wireless N PCI adapter card! I have had absolutely no problems with it at all.
DO NOT USE the supplied drivers on the CD! Go to the Ralink website and download the driver from there. The install program offers installation of the connection utility and driver or just the driver alone. I use the driver only option.
This card uses the Ralink RT2860 chipset, rock solid and great speeds.
Latest driver for Windows 7 is v220.127.116.11 and is WHQL certified.
Overall Review: I really like Ralink wireless chipsets and their associated drivers.
Stable, consistent speeds and trouble-free.
Pros: Installed in a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 motherboard, set the BIOS profile to XMP Profile1. All parameters were set and no other settings need to be messed with.
It's rock solid and very stable RAM! Stays constant with no issues during the PassMark BurnIn Test.
It wasn't priced "two for one".
Overall Review: I have used Mushkin Enhanced RAM for over a decade now, with one stray using Kingston.
Mushkin is not the most inexpensive RAM available, usually about 10% higher, but it's stable and reliable. In my opinion there is no better RAM out there. Plus they're a US company.
Pros: Easy to dispense and a very large quantity for the price!
No break-in period and works very efficiently from the start.
Replaced the thermal compound on my XFX HD5770 graphics card; temperatures dropped from 52-53 C down to 44-45 C ! Now that's a convincing statistic right there in itself.
I believe this works better than the Shin Etsu G751 compound.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: There enough left to do perhaps 30 CPU installs or resets.
You get a lot for your money spent and this gets VERY GOOD reviews, usually placing in the TOP FIVE of all compounds.
Pros: Very fast, replaced an OCZ Vertex 2 64GB SSD.
Firmware update was very easy using the Samsung Magician Software.
Fastest boot times yet, even when it was at first connected to a SATA II connection.
Using this in my latest build as of 4-4-2012, it's rock solid and is performing like a champ so far.
Cons: None that I have experienced at this time.
It wasn't free...
Overall Review: Very good boot drive SSD. Even with over 20 programs installed including a full install of MS Office 2010 Professional Plus I'm still only using about 35% of the drive's capacity.
A handy feature of the Samsung Magician software is that it sets the over-provisioning automatically when selected. Also, it sets the optimum parameters for the drive even turning off Windows Defragmenter, save looking for 3rd party SSD utilities.
Pros: Very fast read times! Inserted a concert DVD and was viewing in less than 12 seconds! Now that's fast folks.
In addition, it's very quiet while viewing movie DVDs. That's a plus.
It's a Samsung... top quality!
I also own a Samsung SH-223F DVD burner for the past 3 years and it has never ever burned a coaster. I'm hoping the same for this model.
Cons: It wasn't free!
Overall Review: For those few that are complaining that this won't install Windows 7, well then they're trying to install rather than the Boot DVD method. This method is the only recommended way of installing Windows 7.
A user DOES NOT NEED a "driver" to install Windows 7. ALL CD and DVD drives use a generic driver supplied by Microsoft since the late '90s. So-called driver issues are due to the fact that the user is trying to install Windows 7 via an alternative method. So disregard those false complaints.
Pros: Great RAM! Put new life back into a old Compaq SR5250NX desktop computer.
Automatically configured timings and other settings.
Very Fast Shipping with the "NEW" Newegg Free shipping service!
Overall Review: It wasn't free!
Pros: Very good quality RAM at an excellent price!
The on-board SPD chipset automatically configures the BIOS settings on the motherboard to it's settings.
7-7-7-21 @ 1.5 vdc 1066 MHz
Overall Review: No heatspreaders, but I'm not overclocking this RAM.
Plus the case has two 120mm fans in a push - pull configuration.
