Great deal

Synology Disk Station DS210j Diskless System Budget-friendly 2-bay NAS Server for Personal and Home Use
Synology Disk Station DS210j Diskless System Budget-friendly 2-bay NAS Server for Personal and Home Use

Pros: Good transfer speed for the price. Easy setup. Feature-rich web-based management software and suite of applications. Works well with Windows and Linux. Excellent and thorough documentation, which is rare these days.

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: One of the hard drives I purchased with this was defective. I set up a single-drive volume. When the replacement drive arrived I simply installed it and upgraded to RAID 1 with a couple of mouse clicks. Easy.

Poor driver

TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2
TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: High transfer rates. Easy installation.

Cons: Don't use this adapter if you have a USB mouse - it interferes with tracking and clicks.

Very comfortable in the hand

Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Gaming Mouse (910-005469)
Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Gaming Mouse (910-005469)

Pros: Fast, accurate tracking. Very tactile. Lots of buttons that can be configured any number of ways.

Cons: After installing the Logitech G HUB it says a firmware upgrade is available. The firmware upgrade stalled. If this happens to you, unplug the mouse and plug it back in again. The firmware will upgrade in a few seconds after that.

Overall Review: After 16 years my old Logitech G5 got twitchy. I may have a formal burial ceremony for it because it has basically become a member of the family. The G502 HERO is everything I would have expected the G5 to evolve into over the years. And it feels like it is just as sturdy as its ancestor. Well done, Logitech.

Good value for the price.

TP-Link AC2600 Smart Wi-Fi Router - MU-MIMO, Gigabit, Beamforming, VPN Server, Works with Alexa & IFTTT (Archer A10)
TP-Link AC2600 Smart Wi-Fi Router - MU-MIMO, Gigabit, Beamforming, VPN Server, Works with Alexa & IFTTT (Archer A10)

Pros: Noticeably faster performance than the older router it replaced. Administration and configuration are easy to do through a browser, if you are experienced with routers and network rules. (I'm a career propellerhead.) I'm not sure it would be pleasant for those who are less technically savvy.

Cons: Guest wi-fi network is only 2.4 GHz. The app is pretty much useless.

Overall Review: A good product with the usual ease of ordering and ridiculously fact shipping that Newegg is so good at. Recommended.

Does the job

iStarUSA D-213-MATX Black Aluminum / Steel 2U Rackmount microATX Server Chassis
iStarUSA D-213-MATX Black Aluminum / Steel 2U Rackmount microATX Server Chassis

Pros: Attractive 2U case looks great with the rest of my A/V equipment. Well-built, sturdy case.

Cons: Included fans were a bit noisy. I popped them out and installed a couple Enermax fans. Now it's whisper quiet. Screw location for some of the mounting racks is awkward. It is generally necessary to remove more than one to install anything.

Overall Review: Technically it has room for 4 internal 3.5" hard drives, but realistically you can only install 1 even with a microATX mobo. To install more than 1 you would have to use a modular PSU or it would be very difficult to route all the power connectors. Plus if the drives were not solid state it might be difficult to keep them cool in such a small enclosure.

Fantastic

HT OMEGA CLARO Plus+ 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
HT OMEGA CLARO Plus+ 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: It actually works! Sound quality is superior to the Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty that it replaced, particularly the bass which is deeper and less muddy. Excellent surround effects in FPS games. The DAC is excellent, creating a clean analog output signal. Analog conversion is far better than Creative. Digital in and out is very useful. Highly recommended.

Cons: First one was DOA. Newegg was brilliant as usual and the second one is all good.

Overall Review: The Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty is a good card that worked reliably. I upgraded to Vista and was faced with all the driver problems I have heard so much about. I went back to XP and the problems continued!!(?) so it had to go. I chose the Claro Plus and am very, very pleased. It was worth all the pain as my system now sounds much better.

Windows 7 driver will not install

Search for alternate driver finds nothing. That's a red flag. Too inexpensive to waste time and effort returning. It's junk.
