Pros: i bought as a refurb, expecting it to be a used office monitor, but it was brand new w cables. i am very happy so far
Cons: none yet
Overall Review: great for a refurb.
Pros: I like the downloaded version because i can keep all my data local
The program works really well but for slightly complex taxes a good accountant is definitely better
I use this to get organized and then hand out the paperwork to an accountant now
Overall Review: Very intuitive and easy to use
Pros: Different way to hold mouse and reduce muscle stress
Cons: The switch at the bottom sticks out so it doesnt sit flat, you have to file it down to use properly
Overall Review: Inexpensive but somewhat cheap. It may last a while though. Internal Lithium battery-dont know the quality, but the charge has lasted quite a while
Pros: ATTO disk benchmark on gigabyte Z77x-UD5H system, i5 3550, USB 3
Write speeds are fast: approx 116.5 MB/s
reads are fast 146 MB/s
nice small size
Cons: no cons yet
Pros: ATTO disk benchmark on gigabyte Z77x-UD5H system, i5 3550, USB 3
Write speeds are slow: approx 22.5 MB/s
reads are fast 135 MB/s
Cons: slow write speed
Pros: This is a great idea since i have so many old drives around that i can just use to store and transfer old data.
easy to pop them in and out. Hot plug and play is awesome when your MB supports it. read about it on wikipedia if you are not sure
Cons: Not a problem with the product, but i am waiting for cheap SSD's to experience some shock during installation and ruin the drive. i have had this problem with inexpensive OCZ drives before in other situations, so I would be careful which drives you use this with
Pros: usb3 for my old P43 system!
This ran as USB 2.0 until I installed the driver from the disk
(my system is Offline only)
Overall Review: Win 7
Gigabyte P43t-es3g, 750LGA socket
4gb DDR3 ram
nvidia 210 graphics card
Pros: this is a great little keyboard, especially for the price.
blue LED to tell you if its on. feels solid, but at the expense of more weight on the incredibly light ipad airs
incredible price for a BT keyboard
Cons: only for ipad air, if you want it to click in properly. air 2 will work fine, but not as solidly clicked in
Pros: I havent bought this but i know a bit about audio.
you can drain the sound power from small devices easily (iphones, pads, tablets), so if you dont get sound to your second device. you might just be sucking up too much power.
as an example, Bigger headphones suck a lot of power, so to get better sound folks buy pocket amplifiers.
consider buying a CMOY amp from e bay for $30
Cons: people dont realized they are sucking too much power from their devices when they use this
Pros: these can sound very good but ironically i only got good sound when i was playing around and put some sony ear tips in.
i was amazed at the bass that came out.
the sound quality is really dependent on fitting them correctly
Cons: these would have 4 starts but the cable is flaking out. on my iphone keeps acting like i am pushing the button to activate siri. totally annoying.
there is obviously a weakening inside my the miniplug going into the phone. i have to hold the cord fixed in my hand to keep it from triggering siri. i blame the small case.
Overall Review: the case is too small for the rigid cord and probably damaged my cord
Pros: Stable power, quiet.
backing up others power quote
running BOINC full load 4 cores
Cons: none really. for those who understand the numbers
my other PSU have higher 12V output:
on different sytems (all LGA 775)
Fatal1ty 550 12V runs @ 12.492V
OCZ tech 600 sxs @ 12.365 V
raidmax hybrid 2 rs-530ss @12.365
Overall Review: system
MB: GB Z77x-UD5H
2x8gb Geil DDR3 1866
Corsair hydro H100 2 fan liquid cooler
running at stock
Pros: Great sound for the price. listen on my macbook and portables
these have better sound than my cheap $100 bose on ear. not as good as my Grado SR 80 headphones. but 1/2 the cost
the bass is deep but can distort on some reggae Dub.
Sound is full on classical. I like the foam open ear for comfort. ears dont get sweaty, and i can hear my kids if they get up at night. the cord is better than the bose, firm and flexible.
Cons: the hard plastic headband is uncomfortable when you lay down or sit back on a chair
Pros: THe construction is rock solid.
Purchase this if you need a really rugged pair of headphones.
cord is fantastic, fabric mesh. no tangle and sturdy
Cons: the money went into quality construction and not into sound.
the sound is decent but my 80 buck bose sound, or 120 buck grado SR80 sound way better. but they are NO where near as sturdy.
Fit is less comfortable because of weight and sturdiness of materials
Pros: snug fit. decent solid construction. sound quality is decent.
but as it says theres no noise reduction.
i got it on sale price-good value at 29 clams, i dont think they are worth full price AT ALL.
Cons: fit is tight for exercise, but was not comfortable after a while. the earpads are small (which is good and bad) good in that they are compact, but are not comfortable because they are not soft and meant to be washable.
you wouldn't use it for passive listening. they are fitted for working out and moving.
Pros: not horrible, but a distant 3rd to android and ipad. does have microsd so you can expand the memory by 2, and a usb.
Cons: very sluggish and unresponsive at times. apps available are not as good as competitors
Pros: Atto benchmark
write ~6000 MB/s
read ~21000-27000 MB/s
Slow but i love the compact size.
I use this as a music drive in my cars USB, i chose it for the compact size
Cons: no complaints yet
Pros: works well, macbook late 2009 picks up monitors immediately
Cons: vga fit is a little tight, but not a problem because. i dont use it frequently
Pros: bought from another online dealer but still from secondipity
Secondipity shipped fast, in excellent shape -I speculate that it was probably returned immediately after someone tried it when it just came out with Windows 8, and now MS is dumping them on the market for cheap
Cons: it took two days to update to win 8.1.
it became more stable afterwards, but its a far 3rd to android and Apples OS and devices.
It hangs up all the time and acts flaky. I restart it often. the browser is MUCH slower than our old Ipad 2, or Asus Nexus (which has an identical processor) the OS still is quite poor compared to whats out there.
BTW there are no other browsers for RT just ie, a definite negative
Overall Review: I have a fast Samsung 64gb microSD in it as well (I thought this would add stability by putting the page file on there but it didnt)
Pros: pretty good interface, i like it a teeny better than N AV
detects as well as norton, but eset seems a little better for a minor trojan horse. dont know why there are 2 bad reviews.
the independent AV comparisons gave this the highest rating, and thats why I bought it.
Cons: i haven't had any complaints
Overall Review: I have it on 2 computers so far:
asus P5k-VM e8400 4gb ram W7 x64
and P5kPL-CM e6750 4gb ram W7 x64
works well on both
also own Norton internet Sec, and ESET. all work very well for me-we have several comps in our house.
Pros: this was rated the highest by the 2 antivirus testing groups so i thought i would give it a try.
interface is pretty decent and easy to navigate, but in general i find all the AV programs are not the very intuitive
Cons: eset picks up my potentially unwanted applications, norton and bitdefender do not
Overall Review: I use eset, and Norton on my other computers. my experience is that i complain about all of them, but i get used to their quirks
Pros: Just bench marked it with ATTO bench32 v2.46
plugged in to USB 3.0
read 44 MB/sec
write 184 MB/sec !!!!
plugged into USB 2.0:
writes 26.5 mb/sec
Read 35.5 mb/sec
pretty decent for such an inexpensive 64gb device
Cons: not usb3
Overall Review: system
Pros: Power consumption is because it needs a lot of heat to print fast. If you don't want a huge power drop, get a reduced PPM (page min min).
I dont have this model, but I have owned a 5250-DN for 5 yrs, It also sucks power like crazy.
Cons: power consumption is also due to the power saver mode turning the heater off
Overall Review: just wanted to clarify why this is getting low ratings. it needs to be compared with other equivalent PPM printers.
Pros: this is my 6th SSD. third kingston. i was a fan of kingston ssd's because the garbage collection worked well with XP-which didnt have trim support.
this is running Win7 and no early death yet like my OCZ's. i have a lot of ram and put my cache on my HD to reduce the load and extend its life
Cons: none. the case is really decent. i was expecting it to be cheaper. i put an old SSD in it with movies on it so when we travel we have entertainment for the kids. it has survived the airlines a few times
Pros: works really well. running NB much much cooler.
My NB was really hot to the touch before install 65-80C?. the GB heatsink, was their normal large chunk of Aluminum. i even had a small fan on it, but it just wouldn't keep cool.
now the temps feel less than 40C. fan super quiet
Cons: installation pins suck.
I put a garbage bag tie through the slits to secure the pins. think of it as a cotter pin.
now it seems to hold just fine
Overall Review: GIGABYTE GA-P43T-ES3G
2x 4gb kingston ram
running NB voltage at 1.2V
had to grind the fins a little (1/8") to fit it in-its was bumping a capacitor on one side and CPU Heat snk on the other
Pros: it came bundled free with parallels, which was free with a rebate. free bundled with freee? giving them away?
Cons: Bench32 on my Windows 7 x64 system
write 4 mb/sec
Overall Review: Q6600
