Worked as expected
Pros: - Easy installation, does what it's supposed to. - Looks good.
Cons: - None.
Overall Review: Do not let the overwhelming amount of bad reviews scare you. Most people who claim the board was DOA actually knowingly or unknowingly damaged and/or killed the board themselves. They could have shocked it via static, used the wrong power supply, plugged in the wrong cables, scratched the board, etc etc. It's easier to blame the board rather than blame yourself. People do not receive defective parts THAT often. Reviews can be deceiving, don't trust most of them.
Dead pixel
Pros: - Beautiful picture. - Easy setup.
Cons: - Dead pixel. Opened it up, turned it on, and boom - dead pixel in the bottom corner. Very sad about that, I thought everything would go well but it appears it hasn't.
Overall Review: Now let's see how good Planar's customer service is...
It works.
Pros: Cheap and effective. Hasn't given me any issues yet.
Cons: Noticeable speed difference from say, a WD Black series drive. Speeds are lower than advertised.
Overall Review: Overall great for the money, but knocked an egg off for the misinforming speed labeled on this product.
I regret nothing.
Pros: - Superb performance, especially for the price. Using the stock fan and stock thermal paste, my CPU (i5 3570k) idles at around 29-30° C and never goes past 40° C while torture testing (100% load). I have already ordered an aftermarket 120MM fan and aftermarket thermal paste (Noctua NT-H1) so the temps will decrease even more, which makes me a VERY happy camper. Thermal paste is relatively cheap so just go ahead and get the best out there (Noctua NT-H1), you won't regret it. - Includes brackets, sound-dampening foam pads, and screws to install a second 120MM fan onto the heatsink tower, or to just replace the stock one. - Easy installation.
Cons: - Not a con for me, but this thing is gigantic. Be sure it will fit in your case. - Instructions were horrible, but again, not a problem. There are many in-depth tutorials on YouTube.
Overall Review: If you don't plan on doing some extreme overclocking, you're looking at the best CPU cooling option for the price right here. Even 4.4GHz should be fine on this cooler.
Works well
Pros: - Good amount of airflow - LEDs are very nice, not blinding bright and not too dim - Cheap! Picked it up for $7
Cons: - Loud, but hey, at the price I don't even care. Plus the fan speed can be controlled in the BIOS
Overall Review: Replaced the stock fan on my Hyper 212 EVO with this, noticeable temperature improvements and it looks REALLY cool in my case with the blue LEDs. Great buy.
Amazing for the money
Pros: Fast! From dead to desktop in about 6-7 seconds. Hasn't given me any problems yet. My monitor can't even catch up with the boot time!
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Well worth the money.
