Cooler Master Real Power Pro RS-C50-EMBA-D2 1250 W ATX Form Factor 12V V2.3 / SSI standard EPS 12V V2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Runs like a champ, powering a 8 processor 32 core setup couple HDs and video card without hiccups. Also like how its a little smaller than other PSUs and very quiet. A lot of connections available, and also the cables are quite nice, all completely wrapped in nylon, good for cable management.

Cons: Would be nice if it was modular. And power cut off switch would be nice too.

Overall Review: Slightly odd cpu cables. 2x 4+4 (8pin) cpu cable that can be used and separated to 2x 4pin, but no dedicated single 4pin cpu cable.

Seagate now makes these drives..

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DM005/HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: 1TB, use to be cheap and reliable when Samsung manufactured these drives. RMA'ed 9/12 drives. Seagate RMA process is good..

Cons: Bought 12 of these drives in two batches over the past 12 months. First batch manufactured by samsung, second batch manufactured by seagate. 3/6 drives failed @ 9 months from first batch, 6/6 drives failed within 6 months from second batch. Not sure why these have had such a high failure rate. I've had good success with these in the past. I have RMA'ed these drives, but don't trust the replacement drives either. Using WD enterprise drives instead.

Overall Review: High read/write usage. Raid 5 - 5 disk setup.

LIAN LI PC-A71B Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-A71B Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Giant case for giant builds. Room for two power supplies, or four if you wanted to. I got this to hold the tyan s4985 + m4985 boards, dual motherboards, 8 processors, 5 HDs, gfx card, 2 power supplies, dvd rw, and a total of 8 case fans + 8 cpu heatsink/fans. Yea, its a monster build. The case is easily modified to fit any need, definitely 5 stars. If you want better airflow, 1 or 2 case fans should be added to the top panel, and also takeout the 2nd and 3rd bays to put another fan. About the HD cage, I believe you are suppose to have the cable end of the HD facing to the right of the cage, there is more clearance on that side, plus it helps with cable management. The case itself is holding up real nice, it probably weighs close to 50 lbs now. All the cables fit in nicely and the case design helps with lowering fan noise.

Cons: For $250, it should have included top panel with dual fans.

Overall Review: Great case, looks great, holding up nice, and surprised I fit everything in.
