Great reliability!

Netis Wireless AC1200 High Gain All-in-One Dual Band Gigabit Router Repeater Client with Four Enhanced 5 dBi Antennas (WF2780)
Netis Wireless AC1200 High Gain All-in-One Dual Band Gigabit Router Repeater Client with Four Enhanced 5 dBi Antennas (WF2780)

Pros: AC Support, strong signal, super easy setup! I'm having no issues maintaining signal throughout my house on 5GHz! 2.4 GHz is also very strong. On 5GHz I'm getting identical speedtest results for wired and wireless which I have never been able to achieve with other routers. The setup was very easy, and luckily it just worked. I will normally dive into the advanced settings and set up port triggering for XBL but UPnP actually is working perfectly! Open NAT and

Cons: None so far, purchased at Micro Center so paid a few extra dollars.

Overall Review: I just had the worst experience ever with a budget Trendnet TEW-692GR that I purchased during Newegg's huge sale last week. The router is essentially a paperweight waiting to be RMAed. Decided to stop into Micro Center and took a chance on Netis since I knew I would have an easy return. I am very, very impressed so far.

Absolutely horrible reliability so far

TRENDnet TEW-692GR Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N900 Router
TRENDnet TEW-692GR Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N900 Router

Pros: It looks nice, and the description makes it sound like a solid piece of equipment. I've had pretty good experiences in the past with Trendnet so I jumped on the deal.

Cons: It doesn't work. 2.4 and 5 bands constantly drop connection. I'm in the same room 10-15 ft. away with no obstructions. WIRED is completely unreliable! I'm getting an insane amount of disconnections and a ton of packet loss. And for the BIGGEST lie of all, this does not have any DD-WRT firmware or working openWRT firmware. This was one of the reasons I decided to go for it knowing I could flash it over. It is all over the documentation that it is supported but that isn't reality. Also, the advanced features are very limited, I was really hoping for port range triggering to help support multiple Xboxes. Since you can't actually get DD-WRT there is no work around.

Overall Review: The product description is a flat out lie with DD-WRT. The device simply does not work with any level of reliability on wired or wireless connections. I literally cannot believe how bad it is. Absolutely, positively, do not purchase this product!
