Yet another positive review
Pros: I got this for a little Dell 13.3" sub-notebook. This drive is super for this application. It's lightning-fast, cool and quiet. The fan on the Dell hardly ever runs so I now have a totally silent, vibration-free notebook. This is really nice once you experience it. Installation was a snap... I just stuck it in my notebook and imaged my old HDD onto this drive. Simple as that. I've been using this drive for 3 weeks now, without a single hiccup. IAnd this is with Windows XP, which doesn't even support trim or anything.
Cons: Besides the obvious fact that SSD's are expensive, the only "con" I can think of is that it doesn't seem to use much less power than the HDD that came with the Dell.
Pros: Image quality is so-so, but photos and videos are both good enough for typical "snapshot/home video" purposes. The camera is easy to use, responsive and functions well. It focuses accurately, is reasonably immune to motion blur, and there's minimal shutter lag. The screen automatically brightens in bright light, which is a nice feature.
Cons: Images from this camera are never quite razor-sharp and there's more than a little graininess/noise in lower light (even when using the flash). HD videos seem to be limited to about 8 minutes per clip. The supplied software is kind of bloated and clunky, but you don't really need it.
Overall Review: My son took this to school with him yesterday and shot some underwater videos in the pool there. They look pretty good and there were no problems with leaks or anything.
Great hand vac
Pros: Significantly more power and suction than the 10 volt Dustbuster that this replaces. Retractable brush and crevice tool are very handy. The main reason I chose this model though is the "smart" charging feature... assuming it works as advertized, this should really extend the life of the batteries. We've had several hand vacs and always had to replace them after 2 or 3 years because the batteries failed, I think due to constant charging of the batteries.
Cons: This is a "dry" vac only. Our previous unit could be used for liquid spills too, although we really didn't use that feature much.
Overall Review: Newegg didn't have the absolute lowest price on this model when I ordered it, but I purchased from here anyway because of Newegg's fast, reliable shipping. Sure enough... it arrived in 2 days, using just the standard free shipping.
Comments: I really like this case. It looks great with black drives. It's pretty solid for a case at this price, fit and finish are virtually perfect and there are no sharp edges. The 250-watt power supply is kinda noisy but it's running my Athlon64 3000 system with no problems. I would have given this 5 eggs, but the drop-down panel that covers the floppy drive and USB/audio jacks is flimsy.
Great little printer
Comments: This is a terrific low-cost printer. Pictures printed on photo paper honestly look like they came from a photo processing lab, even under a magnifying glass. On plain paper, graphics appear a bit faded (as with most Canon printers) but there is no banding at all, and text is crisp and sharp. Printing speeds are much improved over other cheap printers I've used. The included "Easy Photo Print" program makes it a snap to print borderless photos, multiple images, etc. And get it here at Newegg... placed my order on a Monday and it arrived Wednesday morning even though I didn't specify rush shipping. I've always received outstanding service from this merchant.
Comments: This drive replaced an early model LG dvd/cdrw combo in my system. This new drive is way faster of course, but just like my old one it's smooth and quiet and reads/writes to just about any disc you stick in. Highly recommended. And get it here at NewEgg. In my experience, this is one of the very best merchants (of any kind) on the Internet.
