Worked with the Ryxen 5 1600AF out of the box!
Pros: Worked for the 1600 AF variant without any trouble. Purchased from Newegg directly and the bios revision out of the box was *the actually newest one*. Absolutely mental, whichever guy or gal at MSI/Newegg was responsible for that one. Has a bios flashback button (never needed to use it!) as well as LED status indicator lights for which component/step of POST the motherboard is in. The UEFI/BIOS interface is fantastic to dig around in with built in hover-cursor-over style tooltips for any questionable settings. The default fan curves are actually somewhat usable! And the fan ports are all addressable as either PWM or voltage-controlled for speed. Anyone: you can use the pump fan header as an additional normal case fan or CPU fan just fine.
Cons: The circuit board is definitely brown, not black. The faster USB3 ports are not marked as such. The USB2 port for bios flashback is not marked as such. No manual is included with the packaging so the only way to find out which ports are which is to download a PDF off of a website and dig through digital documentation which is inconvenient. The second full length PCIe slot is only wired for... who knows? It's cryptic as to whether it is version 2 or version 3 or if it is 4x or 8x. Using any of the other 1x slots downgrades the second full length slot in some fashion but again it's uncertain exactly how much that matters since the version / wiring is vague.
Overall Review: I am overall very happy with this.
