Wow, all new levels of great
Pros: Extremely fast and capable memory, looks GREAT on classified motherboard, worth the money
Cons: For an i7 machine, you have to overclock to get it to specified timings, and the fan is the second loudest fan in my case.
Overall Review: i7, HAF, classified mobo, thors hammer cpu heatsink, gtx 260, bfg 1200w power supply, wb caviar black To get the ram to near-specified timings I have my QPI set to nearly 200 - DONT DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, your psu and mobo can take it, and have an adequate cooling system. Lots of voltages are set higher and whatnot, but in order to get everything working you HAVE to overclock it, just take note...
Not buying ASUS again
Pros: Graphics improved over my dual gtx 480s, when the card actually worked ASUS typically makes good product... or so I thought...
Cons: The first card went out after about a month and a half. I would've sent it back to newegg, but they only allow refunds after 30 days. Had to go through ASUS. Received a "repaired" card that wasn't repaired - put it in my system and nothing worked. Eventually received a third card and it is promptly going on e-Bay, while it still works.
Overall Review: Save yourself the time and buy EVGA, there's just no comparison when it comes to customer service. I had to work with over 4 reps the 2nd time I had to send the card back. It was a consumer nightmare.
Great performance in low light
Pros: Great picture quality, microphone input and cold shoe for holding a mic on the top of the cam are really useful. Extremely good low light shooting, colors stay vibrant, even though there is a little noise on the image . Pistol grip is actually pretty comfortable and the included microphone is pretty darn good.
Cons: Switching between manual and autofocus for video shooting is challenging, and the autofocus system isn't that amazing. Also, cannot control gain for included mic, but can for external microphone.
Overall Review: Ordered it from DigitalRev 3 months ago since Newegg didn't carry it at the time (but really wanted to go with Newegg)
Very tolerant ram
Pros: Ram is extremely fast, stays extremely cool, fan is not as loud as many people make it out to be. Have had it in my system for about 3 months now.
Cons: Very complicated to get ram to run at spec, I ended up setting my CPU overclock a little higher than I wanted to, but system is extremely stable and cool so I'm not too worried about it.
Overall Review: EVGA Classified Motherboard, HAF Case, i7 920 cpu, thor's hammer cpu cooler
Just great
Pros: Lots of depth in the case, lots of room behind motherboard for cable management, in-depth reviews online were right about how much airflow this guy has.
Cons: Not applicable to my situation, but it doesn't have the cable to interface two power supplies at once with the touch of a single button.
Overall Review: Plenty of room for modification.
