Works great for me
Pros: transcoding and dlna
Cons: Doesn't have LED indicators to show which tuners are in use.
Overall Review: I've had this tuner for a few weeks and the HDHR3-US for a few months. Both work for me. I really like the LED tuner indicators on the HDHR3 that let me know which tuners are in use and wish the HDTC-2US had them. Otherwise, this new tuner works great. I use it on my Win7 HTPC, my Android tablet, and my wife's laptop. The transcoding works great for me.
customer service vs rebate
Pros: None that I can think of.
Cons: Died after 4 days.
Overall Review: It died the day after I sent the UPC in for the mail in rebate. So, it seems I had a choice that I wasn't aware of. I could either choose good customer service, or the rebate. Without the UPC, newegg won't warranty it (though I don't know what they'd do with the code). I may be able to go through Antec, but they still won't have the UPC. It's a game.
zero features
Pros: fast newegg shipping.
Cons: Can you believe this unit has NO switched (or unswitched) AC outlets? I just never looked for it in the pictures because I've never seen a stereo or surround sound amp or receiver that didn't have one. Normally you'd plug your subwoofer amp into it and it would turn on your subwoofer when you turn on you receiver. Even the $25 Realistic (radio shack) amp I had 50 years ago had an AC outlet on the back.
Overall Review: I wonder if I can return it for this.
what a deal!
Pros: Looks almost new. It's way more than fast enough for HTPC use. Plays movies and TV from WMC with HD Homerun, Kodi and similar programs with no problems.
Cons: none that I can think of. looks new and everything works.
Overall Review: I've had this for about 5 months. As I recall, I may have had to update some drivers but there was nothing hard about. HDMI to the back of my TV and it's a great Home Theater PC. I think this is the best deal going right now. I just looked it up to buy another one but they're out of stock. I should have acted quicker.
Seems to be confusion on this tablet
Pros: Antutu scores of 18,500 + every time. 2GB RAM Latest version of Android Low price Nice case
Cons: None yet
Overall Review: I really just want to dispel some mistakes in these reviews. - Even with 8GB RAM and 64 bit operation system I doubt you see the difference in DDR2 and DDR3 memory. At 2GB RAM and 32 Bit you certainly won't. It makes no difference. This tablet pulls Antutu benchmark scores of over 18,000 which is very respectable indeed. Much more than what I expected. - The screen is not non-glare. It's glossy. It come with a clear, dull screen protector for shipping and on top of that is a printed shipping protector that makes it look like the tablet is turned on. Remove both of them. They're just for shipping. - The tablet IS stereo. It has only 1 speaker, but if you want stereo use the headphone jack or Bluetooth. - The speaker seems plenty loud enough. - The case isn't backwards. The tablet goes into it from the bottom (as it should) and all the controls are in the right places and operate properly. - I like HDMI also, but unfortunately, it's disappearing from tablets and phones in favor of wireless screen casting. - I don't think it's fair to fault this tablet for having the latest Android version. Any new Android tablet you buy will have it, so they'll all be the same. - I have 3 other China tablets and updates are available for all of them. There is no problem getting updates. - I find the WiFi reception very strong throughout the house. - Bluetooth works as expected.
Great controller
Pros: Good range. Can run windows programs and Windows Media Center, has shortcuts, and the mouse pad is a bonus.
Cons: None that I can think of right now.
Overall Review: I run my HTPC with WMC on this. It has shortcut buttons for launching different media and also for closing the current program, and a large, green button to launch WMC. For the desktop and programs that won't accept the remote's buttons, you just use the built-in mouse pointer instead.
