Worked for me, need a dremel

ZALMAN ZM-NB47J Aluminum Heatsinks only
ZALMAN ZM-NB47J Aluminum Heatsinks only

Pros: My Motherboard had those super tiny annoying fans that made lots of noise an didn't move any air. I replaced them with this guy and had better cooling with no noise!

Cons: Mounting hardware felt a little clumsy. I have been using it over a year with no issues so I guess I can't really complain.

Overall Review: They are much bigger than my stock heatsinks, If you have a large CPU cooler and a poorly placed north and southbridge, a dremel might be needed to remove some fins. I measured and knew this beforehand, make sure you do the same.

Okay KVM

IOGEAR GCS62 MiniView Micro PS/2 KVM Switch with Cables
IOGEAR GCS62 MiniView Micro PS/2 KVM Switch with Cables

Pros: Simple to use, software switching, compared to USB KVMs PS/2 has faster switching.

Cons: After less than a year the switching would trigger randomly when I didn't want it to and it wouldn't when I did want it. Due to this I choose to move to an IOGEAR model with USB and a button switch which had worked gear.

Overall Review: I would highly recommend the GCS22u for 3$ more.

Screen makes the laptop

HP Laptop ENVY 15 Intel Core i7 1st Gen 720QM (1.60GHz) 6GB Memory 500GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 15-1066nr
HP Laptop ENVY 15 Intel Core i7 1st Gen 720QM (1.60GHz) 6GB Memory 500GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 15-1066nr

Pros: -Screen res is great -Has a neat little "instant on" OS that can do email, music, web(lost when moving to SSD) -Crazy fast -Looks great -touch pad and keyboard feel solid

Cons: -At first kept hitting caps lock when trying to type a, got used to it pretty quickly. -Battery life is what you would expect it to be with an i7 laptop. -Came with a loose screw rattling inside the case by the CPU. It had thread lock on the threads so I'm guessing whoever re-certified it lost it inside or forgot it was there. -CPU fan closest to the user began a very noisy death less than a week after first use. -Core i7's make a high pitched whine, doing some reading it appears this is linked to running at a lower voltage. No option to up the voltage in the bios. Doesn't really bother me.

Overall Review: -First thing I did when I got it was upgrade it to a SSD. The upgrade could be intense for someone new to upgrading laptops, lots of screws and some ribbon cables than can be tricky to get back on. However this thing hauls with the SSD. No regrets there. -HP tech support was pretty good. Called in and said the CPU fan was failing and couldn't afford to be without the laptop for two weeks. With little difficulty I got a manager who overnighted me the part for free, I may have lost the remainder of my 90 day warranty, but I'm not too worried. *Bottom line* I wanted a laptop with as high of a res screen as possible. This laptop is half the price of a macBook pro. Done

Great Case

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

Pros: This thing screams quality, heavy duty and it looks great. The layout with the power supply on the bottom and the top venting fan is genius, why is every other case not doing this? Ventilation up the wazoo. Get a bunch of cheap fans and under-voltage them for good airflow and near silent cooling. Tons of space and versatility, you basically have 9 slots for whatever 5 1/2" stuff you want to cram into your case.

Cons: Stock fans are kind of cheap, wish there was an option to turn the LED's off/down. The LED color matching on the fans is pretty poor, some look very purple. I don't really care but for the price I feel everything should be perfect.

Overall Review: I wouldn't want to drag this beast to a LAN party, but it looks great in my man cave.

Great SSD

OCZ Vertex Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTX60G
OCZ Vertex Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTX60G

Pros: Great Drive, It is fast, no noise, cool, fast, it's pretty darn fast. Truthfully I didn't notice the speed until I was playing in my bios and accidentally booted up into my old system (I kept a hard drive backup and my installs always look identical) I was getting so frustrated with how slow the system was until I realized what had happend.

Cons: Price per GB

Overall Review: For people complaining about the rebate failing, I had the exact same thing happen to me (invoice was a day off from the valid dates or some such nonsense). I called up OCZ and second ring a real person picks up with spoke very clear English! I was ecstatic. I explained the situation and in less than 5 minutes it was all sorted out, my rebate was received as promised but it did take ~4 months.

Okay wireless

EDIMAX EW-7128G Wireless Card IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
EDIMAX EW-7128G Wireless Card IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: The software this comes with is pretty sweet. Tells you the channel every SSID is on, the signal strength in db, what everyone is encrypting with and more. Not that any of that is hard to find out, I just liked how it was included in the standard software.

Cons: Had this connected to a WRT54GL and it did an okay job. After about 6 months my web connection would randomly die and I would have to restart my computer to bring it back up.

Overall Review: For a power user I feel like wired is just the way to go, I have never had a wireless card that I felt did as good a job a good old cat5. That being said this was the best I ever had at a great price.
