Overall great laptop
Pros: This laptop sports the 2nd gen i7 along with 6gb of ram, Geforce GT555 mobile gpu, and great onboard audio. The looks of the laptop are very appealing and the keyboard layout is superb. Best of all, Windows did not come with an excessive amount of bloatware and the included software is actually useful. Also comes with a separate small partition with the drivers and apps if the user wishes to install a different version of Windows over the factory home premium without having to resort to a CD or downloading the drivers.
Cons: Didn't go with the higher priced fully loaded option :). Honestly though, cons are almost non-existent because of the research I did prior and the task I use the laptop for match the hardware great. The screen may not be the best resolution compared to other models (that offer 1080P at 15.6), but it still offers a very crisp image and really isn't a con at all.
Overall Review: Overall, this laptop was a great purchase. Has great set of a features and technology. The 555 does surprisingly well with modern games, just don't expect lots of extra eye candy. The ability to switch between the GPU modes (active and passive depending on your use) is a cool feature. I recommend anyone looking for a sub $1000 loaded with features. Has plenty of CPU power and RAM to hold you over for a long while, and the GPU offers you great versatility for movies, gaming, and produces a great image on my 42" TV.
