Pros: This is what you need to get sound on your ASUS server/workstation motherboard. Works as intended.
Cons: MIO-892? Sounds expensive.
Overall Review: Could try your luck with a pci express card, I choose to go the safe route.
Pros: Sweet aluminum panels. Large for a mid tower. Best air filtration setup I have seen on a case so far. Price was for a premium product and that is what I received. Comes with an abundance of accessories. I am happy customer.
Cons: One of the side panels was missing a rivet. Called up Phanteks and they helped me get the part I needed. Also the acoustics where standard, I added sound deadening material and that helped. Case was heavier than I anticipated.
Overall Review: Maybe get the tempered glass model if you fancy that version instead.
Pros: The matte finish is very attractive, I bought this thermostat for my hallway that has eggshell white walls. Only other pro I can think of is the fact is has a simpler user interface if that is what you want.
Cons: I have the 3rd gen Nest thermostat on my second HVAC system in my house so I was able to compare the two models hand-in-hand. I understand what Nest was going for in the product, use cheaper manufacturing materials, simpler UI, basic components, and narrow down the types of systems it supports while lowering the price of the unit. Totally understandable to gain traction in the lower end market but they really dumbed-down the unit. The UI is far inferior of the original, probably a third of the features are cut out. I was really disappointed how far they had gone with the value engineering. Only reason I would recommend this product is if you must have the matte white finish, otherwise, shell out the extra 30$ and get the 3rd gen nest. This one should be priced at 100$.
Overall Review: I would have given it three stars if the unit had not shipped with a very small chip in the crystal face. Called up Nest and they were very helpful in support and refund. Thanks for reading!
Pros: I can say this ASUS motherboard is one of the better server boards I have purchased. I installed two E5-2690s with Kingston ECC ram, the board booted on the first try and all hardware accounted for. The board came with the most recent bios update so no need to flash. Skimming through the bios tells me it has all the mainstream server features and then some. I could not be happier with what I expect from a server board. To the reviews saying this motherboard does not officially support windows 10 - yes it does not, but this is a SERVER motherboard. It literally says SERVER in the title on the product description. If you want to run a desktop OS then you need to purchase one of ASUS’s “WS” workstation motherboards. You will have better luck with that. I created a virtualized windows 10 desktop with the latest fedora virtio drivers and it works flawlessly.
Cons: I wish it had a pci express m.2 but I believe that socket was after the design of this motherboard. The cpu sockets are very close together, but what do you expect when its available in its compact ATX form. Had to purchase the ASUS PIKE card separately but it did com with the ASMB6-iKVM for KVM management.
Overall Review: Make sure you buy ECC ram, from researching online supposedly it will not boot without it. I went to Kingston's website to see compatible hardware. ASUS documentation is a little dated.
Pros: A really great game as far as ingenuity goes, but further playing the game kinda makes me think they used another similar game to base this one off of.... *cough* GTA5 *cough*
Graphics look sweet, game-play is smooth, character movement is smooth.
Cons: Besides the fact that when playing, it feels like GTA, the weapons were a disappointment.
The shotguns shot and sounded awesome, but the assault rifles sounded and shot like pee shooters. Haha - just my opinion.
Overall Review: I though it was revolutionary for its hacker theme and modern day political agenda, but the overall feel of it just wasn't right... idk all i heard about this game was people freaking out about how awesome it was but when i personally sat down and put hours into it, just wasn't impressed.
Pros: EVGA has once again proven that they are most certainly the masters of taking nvidia's GPU and maximizing it to the fullest.
If you don't quite have the cash to afford a 3Gb 780 but still want around the same performance, this card is yours.
Just check out Tom's Hardware review for this thing and you can see the numbers for yourself, This thing closely follows the 3gb 780 and when overclocked further, can even out perform the stock 780.
The ACX cooler is whisper silent - not a single complaint.
Gaming on a 1920x1080 monitor with ultra settings is chocolate cake for this bad baby.
Cons: Maybe the price, but hey, in the world of GPUs, you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: I plan on using this card on my main gaming computer for a while, and then when it gets outdated in the late future, I'll buy another one for dirt cheap and SLI them. Completely future proof.
Pros: This is a great case for the price, great cooling properties and aesthetic design. I really like the all black with front grills.
Cons: The largest downfall of this case is no wire management capabilities. If you plan on packing in a lot of hardware, you are going to struggle finding a place to route all the wires. No grommets on any of the sheet metal ports and I'm not a fan of LEDs so the blue light was kinda annoying for me, which others don't mind.
Overall Review: I returned this case and bought a NZXT H230 just because i wanted the wire management capabilities so badly, but if you want a low priced case while sacrificing some features, this is a perfect case for you.
Pros: This processor is mind boggling powerful, and after the thermal paste has a good couple days to set, the cpu temps are lower compared to my other computer with a 4770k.
I recieved a L4 batch, so far from what I have been reading these have better thermal properties than the L3 batches.
Cons: Absolutely none
Overall Review: No need to OC unless you just HAVE to do it...
Pros: If you want to upgrade your MOBO from Z87 to Z97 and are on a budget, but still want all the high quality features of a $300 dollar board, then this should be your choice.
At first I was hesitant to buy this model from Asus instead of the Pro or Deluxe models, but this is such a quality buy for the price i just couldn't turn it down.
The new BIOS UI from Asus is mind boggling, It is so intuitive that it is hard to find anything wrong with it. cpu temp, case temp, board temp, lists of fans with all rpms, every usb device connected, OC interface is sleek and soooo easy for new ppl getting into OCing.
Board was very sturdy, well built with zero loose caps or connectors.
M.2 and sata express have UNGODLY speeds.
Just overall really impressed for spending $135 on this thing when it should really be a $200 board
Cons: The only thing I could find wrong with the board that didn't live up to my standard was that in the pictures the board looks black, which it is, but it is loaded with so many copper circuits that it actually has a shade of brown. Just keep that in mind for all you guys buying this board for its sleek black/pewter color scheme.
It also doesn't need the VGA / PS/2 port on the MOBO, considering todays standards are hdmi and displayport / USB
Overall Review: If you are on a budget and want Z97, this is the board for you
