Highly recommended, high quality Rosewill!

Rosewill FORTRESS-550 - 550-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 122 Deg. F (50C), 80 PLUS Platinum, ATX 12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, Intel Haswell, SLI & CrossFire Ready
Rosewill FORTRESS-550 - 550-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 122 Deg. F (50C), 80 PLUS Platinum, ATX 12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, Intel Haswell, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: -EXTREMELY Quiet..I used this psu to replace a cheap noisy chinese branded 800W Psu..what a night and day difference! -The casing on this psu is the best I have ever seen..the lizard skin-like texture really makes this psu come alive in my windowed case -Went from pulling 180 watts idle to around 95 watts idle (though I did switch over from a amd phenom 955 to a 4670k) -This psu has very very long cables, long enough to reach all parts of my Silverstone RV02-E case (which is the longest case ever really) -Built solidly. this thing feels like a tank compared to my old psu.

Cons: not modular, but i dont need modular cables

Overall Review: this PSU is powering : I5 4670k Overclocked to 4.6 ghz @ 1.25 V team vulcan 2x4gb ram 1600 mhz ddr2 gtx 580 1.5gb Thermalright silver arrow 2tb WD cavier, 500gb Hitachi 7200 rpm hdd 80gb intel x25m ssd 2x blue cathode lights 1x dvd-rw 1x rosewill media card reader

Good but not perfect

ASUS 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (MG279Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 178° Viewing, FreeSync
ASUS 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (MG279Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 178° Viewing, FreeSync

Pros: -Excellent color reproduction..the brightness, contrast, and color accuracy put my old TN monitor to shame. Comparable to my Macbook Pro with Retina display. -FreeSync is awesome. Everything feels buttery smooth and my eyes don't hurt as much now with FreeSync. -1440P resolution was a great jump as well from my 1080P monitor. -The OSD controls are definitely GREAT. The joystick makes the monitor very pleasant to use when navigating the settings for the monitor. -Sleek, elegant design is much appreciated by me since i had a thick, glossy bezeled TN monitor I was coming from. -No backlight bleed (or if there was, it was so minimal that I did not even notice it)

Cons: -Two dead pixels (one at the top right monitor, another one closer to the bottom right). Newegg has a 8 dead pixel policy and Asus has a 3 dead pixel policy, so I'm helpless there. Well, unless a third dead pixel develops, then i can RMA to asus. 3 years warranty..i'm sure another dead pixel will develop in 3 years so i can RMA =p. -Sometimes, when starting up my computer, a white, dotted strip line will be visible on the very left edge of the screen. Turning the monitor off, then on again fixes this problem though. The only reason I did not RMA to Newegg for this, is because it only happens maybe once every coulple of days. If it becomes more problematic I will RMA To ASUS. -Came with defective mini display port to display port cable. Called Newegg, and they being the awesome company they are, gave me a 10.00 refund since I had to pay 10.00 for a replacement cable at another website

Overall Review: Unfortunately, there is the lotto to be played with regard to dead pixels.

Solid, sturdy stand; No more back or neck bending!

ParcSlope for MacBook
ParcSlope for MacBook

Pros: -Built like a tank; solid in its construction, much in the same way as the retina 13" macbook pro it is supporting, -The rubber pads supporting the upper and lower portions of the bottom of the laptop is extremely high quality stuff. i know it will last. -The 18 degree lift really does help. so much so that my sister wanted one for her laptop -I'm bending down a lot less in terms of neck/back movement (since i have a long torso). -Does what its supposed to do -Oh and solid packaging. the box reminds me of a Apple product.

Cons: -Wish it was cheaper. - Didn't have 100% smooth edges (just 1 or 2 edges weren't perfect, no big deal though).

Overall Review: a little pricey but you get what you pay for here

Good performance, bad acoustics

Sapphire Radeon R9 FURY X 4GB HBM PCI-E HDMI / TRIPLE DP, 100380SR
Sapphire Radeon R9 FURY X 4GB HBM PCI-E HDMI / TRIPLE DP, 100380SR

Pros: -Fast..blazing fast performance that cut through the Witcher 3 at 1440p like knife through butter. -Extremely low temperatures..never exceeded around 50 degrees Celsius at full load. This was amazing considering I am used to 80+ degrees air cooled video cards. -The card is made of a nice, velvety texture that makes the video card feel like a truly premium product.

Cons: -The first video card had an extremely annoying, high pitched whine to it. This was due to the defective pump. It sounded like a flashbang going off in Call of Duty or CounterStrike. -The second video card had the exact same issue. That was RMA'd as well. -In the end, I decided that I did not want a third card as I was confident I would get another annoying one. So Newegg offered me store-credit and I used it to purchase a R9 Fury as well. That card is much quieter than this one.
