Bootable
Pros: Great instructions, drivers come on floppy and CD, includes a variety of cables
Cons: None
Overall Review: My motherboard SATA controller has gone bad, so I picked this card to ensure I could boot from it. The provided instructions walked me through installing the card and installing windows on the hard-drive I'd plugged into it.
One stick works, the other is DoA
Overall Review: One of the two sticks is defective. The one that works, looks and works great, XMP brought it right where it should be. New build, and 30 seconds after powering up, it would reboot, without ever reaching bios. Removing various components I eventually found it was one of these. It won't boot on the defective stick alone, nor with it in dual configuration. Windows mem test on the good stick came back perfect. Due to the nature of the problem, I can't mem test the bad stick.
Shocked! and dismayed
Pros: Looks cool.
Cons: First, my newly-built computer wouldn't boot if the light was near the motherboard. Once I came here to read the bad reviews, and verified that the light was interfering with other components, I then attempted to move it while still on to discover a "safe" location in my case. While moving the light by grabbing what looks like an insulated base, it gave me quite a strong shock. My hand and arm are still tingly while I type this.
Overall Review: Believe the bad reviews with all the up-votes, and pass this one by. It's unsafe for your computer components and you. I won't be purchasing any more lights from this company. Before it shocked me, I tested the interference by moving the light with inverter, and was able to disable parts of my computer specifically, such as a USB hub.
