Works Great on AMD!
Pros: Amazingly fast RAM, just like advertised :) Didn't have to manually set the timings in the BIOS, works like it's supposed too. Also does run stock 1600, but overclocks to 1866 like advertised no problem. Ran memtest86 on it to for about 8 hours, came back with 0 errors.
Cons: Was a bit hard to install (had to push down with much more force than I'm used to for installing other RAM, but nothing to take an egg off for). Also a bit on the pricy side, but well worth the purchase.
Overall Review: Used this to upgrade from my other RAM, didn't seem to be too compatible with my AMD. My old RAM got 470 errors in an 8h memtest. For anyone running AMD (AMD is really picky about RAM), this RAM works beautifully (0 errors) on my FX-8350 and Crosshair V Formula-Z. Beautiful sleek black design as well. Thanks for the amazing product GSkill :)
Good performance laptop
Pros: Great speeds, great airflow/cooling (vents out the back!), great gaming. 750GB HDD works perfectly for people like me that use up lots of space.
Cons: Poor adapter design (awkward angle of plugging in, tends to fall out sometimes), a bit heavy (expected of a gaming laptop), and mouse-pad location/sensitivity takes some getting used too. Hard drive also comes pre-partitioned (which can be a pain if you only want a single drive, and are a noob with computers). Underclocked i7 also doesn't perform amazingly in older games which only use two cores, and take no advantage of the hyper-threading.
Overall Review: Pretty decent overall, price is a bit over-done I believe. I'd value this more around $1200 than $1500 for the performance overall. Underclocked i7 can be a pain when running older games optimized for dual-core, thus leaving 6 cores completely empty and straining two underclocked cores.
