Good Gaming Laptop
Pros: The venting system is really good. Rarely gets as hot as most laptops when playing games on higher settings. Full keyboard is nice. The standby instant on feature is great.
Cons: Battery life is ~3 hours on saver mode, which is expected but still very low. Keyboard has SERIOUS ghosting issues.
Overall Review: Could use an option to buy one with an SSD. The manual is pretty minimalistic in terms of specs and details. Has some bloatware, but very little compared to other brands.
Fragile
Pros: They don't hurt my head, and my ears don't get sweaty like with some headsets. They're actually not that bad except for the biggest con.
Cons: The connection piece between the top band and the ear pieces is tiny and will break easily. Superglue really is the only option if you want to use them.
Please don't buy this
Pros: It's comfortable to wear?
Cons: The other review has it right. "The microphone actually dies after a week, and then anyone you are talking to get a nice and loud static in their ears. YOU have to keep replugging the headset to keep the sound working." Mine lasted 2 days before breaking. Constantly have to keep replugging this headset, and then restarting games if I want them to have sound. That and there's this high pitched sound in the headphones whenever the microphone IS responsive.
Overall Review: I've been in contact with razer support for over two months now. So far they've suggested: that I perform a synchronized swimming exercise with my USB ports by unplugging everything and replugging them with different combinations, that I should record a sample of what the static sounds like because they can divine from the heavens what the static means, and that I update the firmware because that will fix the wiring short that the headset obviously has (when you touch the mic it switches to static mode). This of course is with an average of ~2 weeks between my emails and their reply, even with its status being "elevated" to the next level of tech support. I emailed them the sound file as requested on 2/15 with no reply. I emailed them 3/7 to say I was buying a new headset from steelseries and they replied within the hour to tell me to update the firmware.
Driver and Sound Issues
Pros: Does what it needs to do for a reasonable price, but has a few issues.
Cons: Sound drivers/hookups seem to be broken. Randomly the sound will lock up and then explorer will lock up. Happens with three USB headsets I've tried as well as several 3.5mm headsets and speakers. All drivers are up to date.
Overall Review: Update the BIOS as soon as you get it.
