Pros: As I thought, after almost a full day of semi-high volume break-in the bass has opened up nicely. Not overpowering but I don't want overpowering. To my somewhat experienced (not audiophile) ears the sound is VERY nice and balanced, with great mids so I can make out all lyrics easily, which is very important to me. I am VERY happy with the purchase...a superb bargain :)
Pros: they are pretty comfortable out of the box, and might get more so as the pads relax a bit. The mids and highs seem very good to my somewhat-experienced ears. Plus volume seems considerably louder than my P100's on same level...this may be due to the closed-back design vs the open of the P100's.
Cons: The bass seems a bit weak, but I am optimistically chalking that up to being brand new. I am going to let them play for a couple days on pretty high volume and that should loosen up the base a bit. Unfortunately my Zune80 doesn't have equalization, so I'm hoping the bass will improve with break-in, and it should from my experience.
Overall Review: Superb bargain, and if the bass doesn't improve too much I'll justify it by them only costing me $15 :^}
Pros: When I bought it (couple weeks ago, don't know if anything's changed) was best bang for buck RE: size, speed, cost
Overall Review: I have come to really rely on the excellent H2testw free software for testing these cards (have been trying to snag a deal on a 32GB microSDHC off auction site and am 0 for 5 so far...will have to pay full retail from the Egg I suppose)
Anyway this card benchmarks VERY well:
read - 17.6MB/s
write - 10.6MB/s
...quite excellent. Obviously can't comment on durability but love the test results.
Pros: best bang for buck re: size/speed
Cons: too soon to tell
Overall Review: well I haven't actually used it yet but wanted to post the test results...
read 18.74 MB/s
write 14.90 MB/s
no errors found
I used CheckFlash and it has found errors on all the "deal" cards I've bought lately off a popular auction site so I thought this was significant enough to post.
Pros: SUPER-STRONG antenna, wifi N, best form factor for long-range signals, Rosewill customer service ++
Cons: really none, except for the fact that there's always a certain percentage of duds that make it to market...first one blinked out after an hour.
Overall Review: OK I have to tell my story, since good experiences with customer service seem to get reported way less frequently than bad ones. Maybe I should have known it was defective and not a driver issue by the aforementioned behavior, but I think I had reloaded Windows inbetween (new build) so I wasn't sure. I tried every driver I could find, but Windows (7 64-bit) refused to recognize it again. First surprise was Rosewill tech responded to my first email in less than a day, with the utmost courtesy and desire to help. Pointed me to another driver...didn't work. Tried again by referring me to another...same thing. But the point is all this back and forth emailing moved along with only hours in between, when there could have been days between each response. Then it was actually the rep who suggested doing an RMA, then set up the whole process to send me another one - which works fantastic. I always liked Rosewill for decent products at great price points...now I REALLY like Rosewill :^]
