Solid for intended purpose

AMD FX-8320E - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.2GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD832EWMHKBOX
AMD FX-8320E - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.2GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD832EWMHKBOX

Pros: -95w -runs pretty cool for vishera -AMD still got it in the bang for buck department

Cons: -Awful. Cooler.

Overall Review: Bought this to set my bro up with an entry level gaming pc. Runs GTAv at 1200x900 high settings no problem. Pretty much handles Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 the same (with some variance on FO4) I poped this into a mobo falsely advertised as being compatible with the 8350 and this thing has no problems working within the limits of its puny vrms. Good for budget gaming and the 8 cores makes it a great multi-tasker. Knew this going in but this cooler gives some lawn mowers a run for their money. Now don't get me wrong, the cooler works just fine and keeps this cpu nice and cool. But the US Army couldn't make a set of headphones that could drown this thing out.

Nice when it worked.

Asus Orion Gaming Headset
Asus Orion Gaming Headset

Pros: -Nice sound -comfortable -classy appearance

Cons: -in spite of its classy appearance, I did not get what I felt was a $50 set of headphones.

Overall Review: Was nice while it worked, broke after about a year of light use. FIrst the right headphone when out, then about 2 months more of use it just went kaput. Wouldn't judge ASUS by this but I really this this was only an ASUS product in branding. Next set will a cheap-o that doesn't cause a sharp pain in wallet when I see them in the trash.

Quite simply, the best thermal compound I've ever used.

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G

Pros: -5-7c cooler load temps
-cooler cpu temps lead to overall cooler temps

Cons: -Takes FOREVER to cure
-High silver content makes this compound conductive (not for beginners)

Overall Review: Upgraded from ac ceramique 2. the ceramique definitely works well, but nothing compares to this compound. This compound alone allowed me to reach safe temps while overclocking and is also very effective at cooling gpus.

The two downsides to this paste are its cure time and conductivity. I didn't really notice a difference for the first couple days from the ceramique. For an impatient individual this could be a deal breaker. The conductivity is also another issue. Since the silver content in this compound is so high it can become conductive and hence short out equipment if you're not careful. Because of this level of conductivity I definitely wouldn't recommend this to a beginner.

For someone with a bit more experience though this is simply one of the best compounds available. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to overclock.

CPU: AMD FX 8350 (4.5ghz oc)
CM Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Radeon 5770 FLEX Edition
