Works well with Asterisk

Cisco Small Business SPA2102-NA Voice Gateways and ATAs
Cisco Small Business SPA2102-NA Voice Gateways and ATAs

Pros: Easy to use with Asterisk, Kamailio/OpenSER, and BYOD ITSPs. Web configuration will be familiar to those with other Cisco/Sipura devices. Small physical size. If you already have ethernet cabling (to a PC, etc.) near your phones, you can add the SPA2102 without pulling new cables Sufficient power to ring two real 2500 phones (2.0A REN).

Cons: Within the past year, Cisco stopped signing SSL server certificates for end-users. This makes remote provisioning a PITA. This won't be a problem for most users, but it's really annoying if you're a small business trying to give them to employees for home use. Be prepared to dig around to find the documentation you need, A small stand for vertical mounting would be nice.

Overall Review: Remote provisioning aside, the while Cisco/Linksys/Sipura line of small business oriented phones Just Work. If you have phones/CallerID units with FSK MWI, the SPA2102 can handle them. Did I mention I'm unhappy with Cisco's new server certificate policy? Even if you buy through a Cisco sales rep, the certs are only good for two years so you have to keep up the relationship or you're hosed.
