Insane
Pros: I can only describe this board as insane. I bought a Maximus XII Hero originally, but the VRMs had excessive coil whine in some use cases. The Extreme has slight coil whine in those use cases, but not nearly as bad.
Cons: The price of this board is equally insane. Motherboards shouldn't cost more than the CPUs. It would be nice if there were more side RGB strip LEDs to make the strip appear more seamless.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a top-tier motherboard, this is it; but, there are much cheaper solutions out there.
Slightly better than NT-H1
Pros: Reduced my 10900K temps by about 1-2C using a Noctua NH-15S heatsink.
Cons: Wish it came standard with the NH-15S, which is their premium heat sink product offering.
Overall Review: I was skeptical that this would be better than the NT-H1 compound, but in my case it did make a small difference.
Looks fantastic, mediocre performance
Pros: - Quiet (for the most part) - Looks great - Anti-vibration pads reduce rattle - Solid chassis
Cons: - Not the best airflow, but serviceable - Not very quiet at full speed - Mounting holes aren't pre-drilled, so it takes a fair amount of force to install them - One of the fans I bought made a periodic clicking sounds (sounded like an old hard drive) - must have been defective - Very expensive - Since each fan has two wires (PWM and LED), cable management can get unwieldy
Overall Review: Let's be honest, if you're buying these it's for the looks. Cosmetically these are great looking fans. Performance-wise they are mediocre for airflow and quiet at low RPMS. At high RPMS they do get a little loud.
Awesome case
Pros: - Love the design - Excellent storage/cable management - White really makes this case pop with RGB fans
Cons: - Wish the silver panel was white - Concerned that dust might be visible - A little heavier than I expected
Overall Review: Absolutely recommended
