Awesome laptop in every aspect
Pros: -300Hz Display -Lightweight -Versatile I/O -Number Pad -Thunderbolt 4 -Virtually no "bloatware"
Cons: -Only 1TB SSD -Built-in display only 1080P
Overall Review: Fully expected to have to either re-install Windows or re-install ControlCenter and all drivers, based on other reviews. I guess Gigabyte updated ControlCenter to alleviate the issues others were experiencing. I was able to set the keyboard so that backlight is a static light, and the effect has not reverted to the rainbow effect since changed. I did update all drivers via Windows Update first thing. Some of the drivers available on the Gigabyte website and through Windows Update are later than the ones on ControlCenter, so hopefully installing these later updates solved the issues others were experiencing. I was very impressed with how little "bloatware" there was pre-installed on the laptop. I un-installed 2 programs that I just didn't plan to use, and the other apps I un-installed were Microsoft apps. Very clean install of Windows. I was kind of worried about the fan noise under load, especially since I have am pretty sensitive to whining frequencies such those produced from tiny cooling fans. However I am very happy to report that the noise was extremely bearable. And I will add that the cooling system is extremely efficient. Temps stay low enough to comfortably game with the laptop in my lap.
