Pros: Very spacious and lightweight, old fashioned design that appeals greatly to retro PC builders (like myself :D), and of course the name of a PC case maker that goes back many years.
Cons: The aluminum finish gets stained and marred very easily (needs lots of elbow grease to clean up); one of the front bezel plastic retaining pegs is broken and falls of frequently; no PC speaker included (come on Lian Li, don't be so stingy); overall panel fit and finish leaves something to be desired.
Overall Review: My PC-7B came with USB 3.0 and HD audio ports; I simply removed them since this case is being used for a Pentium 3 retro build (both are incompatible with Pentium 3 motherboards). I also got a spare PC speaker from an old, broken AT case. All in all, I'm generally satisfied with this black aluminum PC case (this is only my second Lian Li since 1999) but could use some more improvements - better panel fit, make sure all parts are present and intact, and provide a cleaning cloth to keep the anodized finish in top shape.
Pros: Easy to install, reads all floppies in my collection - even some bad, scratchy ones that failed with other drives.
Cons: None. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Overall Review: It's good to see old PC hardware like this still available brand new. Kudos to Newegg for making them available to us retro PC builders >;D
Pros: Small. Cheap. Easy to install. Nice sounds come from it. What else can I say?
Cons: Nothing really.
Overall Review: Seller sent them in a well packaged Mylar Envelope - kudos for that. Now I have spares to last me several lifetimes :p
Pros: Just like the previous model - lightweight, easy to plugin & use, and very fast data transfers.
Cons: New housing is cheap-looking and flimsy, gets very warm after a few minutes, and of course the ever cursing, short USB 3.0 cable. Minus one egg for that >:(
Overall Review: Seagate should seriously consider going back to the older Expansion Portable models, they run much cooler and have a quality feel and finish. And even though these are meant for laptops, it wouldn't kill them to include a much longer USB cable for us desktop users (even a 3 footer would be quite an improvement over the tiny 18 inch dwarf that's in there now).
Pros: Good quality, very flexible, neatly packaged, reasonably priced.
Cons: None at all.
Overall Review: This replaces an old Radio Shack extension cable I've had for over 15 years. I hope this one can last as well.
Pros: Very easy install once again, full modular design is nice and convenient, lots more room in my HAF 912 without the extra unused cables. More than enough power for my needs.
Overall Review: After my good experience with the OEM Seasonics, I expected the same flawless result with the M12II 620 and pretty much got that - no disappointments. Just wished the fan was a little louder, but that's just me. Now my Core i5 system will never run out of juice. Now to figure out where to stick the badge ^^.
Pros: These standoffs are perfect for used PC cases that have only a few or none. Good fit with the large amount of screws I've collected over the years. No faulty ones that I can see.
Overall Review: StarTech's QA is much better than APEVIA's, no rough or missing threads on any standoff found so far.
Pros: Good looking thumb screws, fit my Cooler Master, Antec and Enermax cases without problems. Nice finish.
Cons: Threads on 3 of the screws were a bit rough, had to get a metal file to somewhat fix them. One had no threads at all.
Overall Review: APEVIA needs better QA to separate faulty screws from the good ones, deducted one egg because of the bad ones I got.
Pros: Standard sized screws, good fit and finish. Came properly packaged and were delivered on time.
Cons: None really.
Overall Review: One minor nitpick - these are painted, not powder coated. Be gentle with the screwdriver or risk scratching the black paint. Price is about right though, can't really complaint.
Pros: Fits my Canon MG2220 perfectly. Solid black color (not watery). Didn't have to realign.
Overall Review: Hopefully it will last longer than the original PG-240.
Pros: Fits my Canon MG2220 perfectly. Solid colors, good match to original images. Didn't have to realign.
Overall Review: Hopefully this one will last longer than the original CL-241.
Pros: A perfect fit for my Pentium III 1GHz Coppermine retro PC. Overall temps went down 5 degrees Celsius compared with the old Spire 5E34B3-H cooler I was using. Can't find any like this brand new anymore.
Cons: Spring clip is a bit stiff; needs some firm yet gentle persuasion to get it in the CPU socket tabs.
Overall Review: I heard complaints about the fan noise, but for me it's just fine. I rather have a noisy computer (great for feedback) instead of a silent one (how do I know it's actually working the way I want?). And hooray to StarTech and Newegg for keeping at least some old-fashioned computer hardware still available for us retro PC enthusiasts :)
Pros: Easy peasy install, old-fashioned design, lots of connectors - what else can I say?
Cons: It's an OEM unit, so no power cable and screws - of course! This PSU is for those of us that have all the ancillaries and know what to do already.
Overall Review: The perfect companion for my Pentium 3 1.4GHz Tualatin PC. Once again, all hail Seasonic!
Pros: Insanely easy to mount & clean, offers very good protection from fan blades. Black color is perfect - no crazy neon or pastel crud >;)
Overall Review: Need to get some more.....
Pros: Works great. Long length and solid connection a plus.
Overall Review: Came as a freebie with Rosewill BD-R discs. Came in handy when a relative wanted to hook up his PC to a 32 inch LG widescreen TV - he's been happy ever since.
Pros: Very light and easy to put on earphones. Reasonable durability (1 pair wears out after 3-4 months).
Cons: Colors fade with use. Foam eventually thins out and becomes very fragile. Some of the colors are quite ugly.
Overall Review: Reasonable packaging and shipping time. If only they lasted a bit longer......
Pros: Its cool to the touch, very lightweight, and most of all, very fast data transfers.
Cons: USB 3 cable is very short :(
Overall Review: Good things come in small packages, and this little Seagate external drive is no exception. I'm very happy with it overall. Now if only a longer USB cable was available for it..........
Pros: Very fast & quiet, reasonably priced, reliable (kept it connected for 4 days straight without problems or issues), small & lightweight.
Cons: USB3 cable is very short - would like to have at least a couple of extra feet in length for added placement flexibility.
Overall Review: Bought it for system backups and large data transfers, works without a hitch. Windows 7 finds it very quickly. WD should provide a longer USB3 cable for it though, the current one is really short.
Pros: Exactly as advertised. Foolproof.
Overall Review: Used it to hook up A DTV Genie Mini to an old stereo boombox. Instant gratification ensued. Very happy and satisfied :)
Pros: Work like a charm with my Pioneer BDR-208D BD-RW drive. No bad ones so far. Shiny top easy to write on with black marker.
Pros: Cheap. Good connection. No bad surprises.
Overall Review: Time to get some more!
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to plug-in, good fit.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Will buy again if needed.
Pros: Installs easily, works like a charm. Good old-fashioned design and wiring appeals greatly to me - I'm tired of all these tightly sleeved and dark-colored PS units (it's nice to see something designed for us old-fashioned computer fans).
Cons: OEM unit, so no box, power cable, or screws; that's fine though, I have plenty of those around.
Overall Review: A great replacement for my old Pentium 4 Northwood build, now configured as a Win9x retro-gaming computer. All hail Seasonic!
Pros: Works with any OS (even DOS), very simple yet functional. No need for fancy extra keys or drivers. Fits my desktop nicely.
Overall Review: An excellent choice for those who need a good, basic, simple keyboard.
Pros: Has great cushion and support, fits like a glove. No more wrist pain and stiffness.
Overall Review: Bigger than my keyboard, which is great - no more falling off to the sides! And I like the smell :)
