Nice monitor, nice price - but quality control issues
Pros: 1) Youtube looks awesome in 1440p! 2) 75 Hz refresh rate and 300 nit brightness is perfect for my workspace and light gaming. 3) The price.
Cons: 1) The stand is spindly and plastic - def not the most stable stand - not really an issue since I have my monitors on floating arms for improved ergonomics. 2) I bought two of these and side by side on default settings you can tell the RGB balance is off on one - looks slight greenish to left and leans reddish to the right. Even the LED backlight temperature is off - I scroll thru all the display presents on both monitors and none of the presets look identical with both monitors. 3) The lower "chin" of the monitor is a bit bulky - i'd prefer a thinner bezel at the bottom with controls on the bottom not the front. 3) Customer service at newegg might be a bit suspect on drop-ship orders. I ordered thru newegg, but Lenovo directly ships to me. I called newegg CS to mention the picture QC issue and they told me to call Lenovo CS. I called Lenovo and I get the Philippines...they ask for my order number and I gave the newegg order number, but of course they don't have it in their system since i need the "lenovo" order number. All I want is for newegg to accept exchange for the one bad monitor for a new one - how hard can that be?!!?
Overall Review: The value of this monitor was my selling point. I'm upgrading my home office to mimic my office-office with two 24" monitors, except I wanted to elevate my tech game going from FHD to 2k. I didn't want to pay more for 27" 4k monitors and these lenovo 24" 2Ks fit the bill. The problem mainly is quality control - I bought two monitors at the same time and one looks good and the other definitely has RGB balance issues.
