The Best Remote Control Device for a Home Entertainment PC

Logitech K400 Plus Wireless Touch Keyboard with Built-In Touchpad for Internet-Connected TVs
Logitech K400 Plus Wireless Touch Keyboard with Built-In Touchpad for Internet-Connected TVs

Pros: Recently I started a new computer build and wanted a better alternative to the earlier K400 keyboard and touchpad I've used for the past 10 yrs. Last week I discovered the K400 Plus. Yesterday 3/2/2019 I tried it out for the first time. Wow what a Huge Difference in Functionality! I can actually Touch-Type with it. It only cost $25 and for me it's the best solution on the PC peripheral market. I would Highly Recommend this product to anyone needing a remote control setup for their projected computer. That would include: college profs, gamers, couch potatoes, sweethearts or basically anyone who needs to have full functional wireless control of their computer or possibly tablet. It has great range and can be used from any place in the room up to a 30x30 room. Don't hedge around. Just Get It! You Won't Regret It!

Cons: With the earlier K400 there were some problems locating the right shift key. Now with the K400 Plus that problem has been resolved with a full size fully functional right shift key without sacrificing the space needed for the remaining keys. Like a laptop keyboard it doesn't have the numeric keypad but the QWERTY layout is great.

Overall Review: About 10 yrs ago my son told me about the Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard w/ built-in touchpad. Until then I used to struggle with the wireless mouse as it would fall down between the arm and cushion of my recliner.. The early K400 was a viable solution for the disappearing mouse. After reading all of the reviews I bought one. That was nearly 10 yrs ago. I still have the same unit today in 2019 and it is still fully functional. Only complaint I ever had was the size of the right shift key. It was OK for my son who doesn't know how to type Touch-Type proper. As for me I would loose valuable time trying to navigate the right side of the key pad as I was hammering out the words. NOW THE K400 Plus has eradicated that problem by offering a better key arrangement over the older K400. Get the one with the Plus and you'll never want anything else! Unless of course you need to crunch numbers, then maybe you'll need something that offers the numeric keypad.

RiDATA 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model DRD+4716-RDCB100

Pros: The Price was Right @ about 20cnts a disk. However, I have been on a rolling coaster ride for about 33% of the burns. Using a reliable Samsung burner I purchased from NewEgg a year ago!

Cons: My burner has never failed with any disks UNTIL NOW !!!! Don't spend your money for these disks and shipping Just go to BigLots and pay about 40cents for something that works.

Doesn't work Properly with WD Hard Drives... DON"T WASTE YOUR $$$ On This !

ORICO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5 inch HDD, SSD SATA I/II/III - Support Offline Clone, Duplicator, UASP (8TB Support) - Black (6629US3-C)
ORICO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5 inch HDD, SSD SATA I/II/III - Support Offline Clone, Duplicator, UASP (8TB Support) - Black (6629US3-C)

Pros: Works with Seagate Drives ok but not reliable to use with Western Digital. Haven't tried with SSDs but 3.5 inch platter type WD drives don't work !!!!!!!!

Cons: New Egg refund is a joke... The shipping lable would cost me 1/2 the price of the drive... Why Bother? What a joke !

Overall Review: I was hoping this drive dock would be a viable replacement to my Old Thermaltake Docking station, which works with most hard drives. This ORICO unit was boasted with a combined capacity of 20 TB so I thought NO PROBLEM using on SG 3TB and WD 1TB. The SG works ok but WG DEFINATELY HAVE SERIOUS ISSUES....

This SD Card is a sham...

Micro Memory SD Card 256GB C10 100MB/S Fast Flash TF Card with Adapter US
Micro Memory SD Card 256GB C10 100MB/S Fast Flash TF Card with Adapter US

Pros: Nice when it works!

Cons: I used the efat format on this SD card that it came with. Mainly I wanted to use it for a simple backup on my Surface Pro 5. After using it 3 or 4 days on incremental backup it loses it's format along with all my backup efforts. I've never had Any Problems with any SD card in the past. I guess I should have stuck with a more dependable brand like Sandisk, Corsair, Adata, Kingston or One of the other brands. Hey, I thought I was getting a deal because this 256GB SD card cost about 1/2 the price of the next lowest price in the better brands. I guess that's because it only works about 1/2 the time.

Overall Review: Don't Buy Cheap Brand SD Cards when going to the larger sizes. Stick to the ones that have proved they actually work....

Linksys E3000-RM 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4/5GHz Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router
Linksys E3000-RM 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4/5GHz Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router

Pros: Full-Duplex Bands 5.0 for streaming and 2.4 for most hand held devices. Has USB which can be used for Online Storage or Centralized Back Up... Magic Jack passes a signal through it for dialtone. Has most features using DD-WRT Firmware n Samba File Management. Can't say enough good things a space won't allow it. I highly recommend it...

Cons: It is real sensitive to certain DD-WRT Firmwareversion of ...Tempermental with firmware... but I found the perfect dd-wrt solution... Call for details...

Overall Review: I paid $80 for this onebay... It was a great buy since most of these cost $120 or so.. A few years old now the price is down... But $50 is a steal... Unless of course you don't want to mess with the DDWRT Firmware to make these fly like a $200 router.

I Like IT... or Should I Say Them ?

Rosewill RNX-MiniN2 (RWLD-11002) Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates
Rosewill RNX-MiniN2 (RWLD-11002) Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: This little bugger is the size of a postage stamp but will definitely save you a trip to the post office. It's a self-starter and although a setup disk was provided It's total PNP capability configured it automatically in WinXP SP3. I put it on a couple of Wirelessless Sony Vaio GR390 Clones and they jumped out of the starting gate with 150mbps signal. Not bad for a no-hands setup. I'm very very impressed to say the least. NP here ma ! Don't miss out while the price is right! I bought 2 of these for Xmas stocking stuffers and just reordered 3 more at a screaming low $10.50 pc after the promo code...

Cons: Promo ends tomorrow 12pst. Gee wish they made them as small as one of those itsy bitsy blue tooth adapter. That way they won't stand continuous threat of being snapped- off. Dual band would be nice also... Only other con is that they'll probably either be discontinued or left in the dust by another excellent Rosewill product... They just keep gettin better n better.

Overall Review: I got new domains for at least 2 of the 3 RNX-MiniN2 adapters that I bought... Maybe I should buy another $100 worth. Wow almost too good !!!
