Asus Professional PA279Q Black 27” WQHD 2560X1440 (2K) AH-IPS LED Backlight LCD Monitor, Ergonomically-designed Tilt, Swivel, Pivot, Height Adjustable, Built-in Speakers, USB 3.0

Pros: Good pivot. Lots of cables. SD card reader. USB3 hub. 10bit display with a Quadro card in Windows.

Cons: You have to plug the DVI port first to use the menu...

Overall Review: Will buy another one anytime.

Most Critical Review

Stay away from it as long as you can

Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, DVD
Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, DVD

Pros: Support new hardware that win 10 doesn't. Still can create a local account to log in even when Microsoft trick you to do not so.

Cons: Stay away from win 11 as long as you can or you have to learn a new OS and Google for hours to learn how to work simple things that now are no more available or hidden in secondary menu.

Overall Review: I move to Win 11 only for support new hardware. The rest of it is pure nigtmare.

Works as expected

ASUS ProArt B760-CREATOR D4 Intel LGA 1700(14th,13th and12th Gen) ATX motherboard, 12+1 power stages, DDR4, PCIe 5.0, three M.2 slots, 2.5 Gb & 1 Gb LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C front-panel connector

Pros: Works as expected Fast and clean delivery

Cons: Serial number on the box has zeros instead of ''o'' and therefore I was unable to register at first Still don't how to get the free Adobe subscription.

Overall Review: My last motherboard was from the same manufacturer and lasted 8 years without any problems so I decided to upgrade the same way using parts from Asus and it worked seamlessly the first shot. The one issue I had was the serial number on the box and the fact I have to register for the software to work and beside that no clue on how to get the Adobe subscription.

Better than the onboard sound card

Asus Xonar SE Sound Board
Asus Xonar SE Sound Board

Pros: Sounds great Cheap Easy to install

Cons: Old software (?) 1/8 line out jack seems to be shorter than expected (?)

Overall Review: Installed with no problems at all and Windows recognized the card at startup . But got a problem with the line out jack and I had to shorten the plug for less than 1mm for it to work so I removed 1 star. Overall, this card sounds way better than the original Realtek chip.

Dead after 6 months

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH

Pros: Works great till it dies

Cons: Now I have to deal with Gskill since the 30 days RMA policy is over. Hope I will get a replacement part asap!

Overall Review: Not happy at all. Never overclocked the memory and 1 of 2 stick simply dies this morning. I hate to pay a high price for product with so small life expectancy... Sorry but I gave 1 egg and not more for the headache!

Works from day 1

ASUS Z97-WS Intel LGA1150 HDMI/DisplayPort /Mini DisplayPort Dual server-grade Intel LAN ATX Server Workstation Motherboard for Quad-strength Graphic Power
ASUS Z97-WS Intel LGA1150 HDMI/DisplayPort /Mini DisplayPort Dual server-grade Intel LAN ATX Server Workstation Motherboard for Quad-strength Graphic Power

Pros: Solid. Perform well from day1. Easy to update.

Cons: Packaging! Was affraid that there was really nothing to protect the MB inside the box. It went on a 7000km journey on ground shipping...

Overall Review: From Newegg: 4770K, HD14, 16Gb GSkill and 660w Seasonic with this motherboard installed in a CM EVO HAF I already have. Took me 2 hours and 3 cups of coffee. Installed Win 7 Pro mounted on a USB key. It asked me for the Intel drivers and that was it. Installed Adobe CC with no error at all. Thanks Asus! This is my first build since 2001 and you rock all my expectations!
