Biostar is moving up!

BIOSTAR A960D+ AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR A960D+ AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: This board has some decent features for the price, It's ok for a budget pc or gaming.

Cons: Doesn't like my Logitech g19 or g9x mouse. Computer won't post all the time if I use the usb ports in the back. What corrected the issue is, plugging the keyboard alone in one of the rear usb ports, and then using the usb ports on the keyboard to plug in the mouse and camera.

Overall Review: Rear usb ports work fine with all the Microsoft keyboards and mice I tested on it. Strange...

Overpriced old fans with extremely poor lighting

SilenX EFX-12-15B Blue LED Effizio Quiet Case Fan
SilenX EFX-12-15B Blue LED Effizio Quiet Case Fan

Pros: Quiet! 15 dBA hence the name SilenX Fast! 1400 RPM 74 CFM Reliable & Durable - I've been buying these fans since 2012. These fans are still working in pc's I've built for myself and my customers, to this day! Even after all these years, 2012 to 2021 soon into 2022 and who knows how much longer...

Cons: Expensive Poor lighting No RGB or controller

Overall Review: Great CFM & Durability but out with the old and in with the new, this fan is not for you! Get the newer brighter RGB fans for way less in price, like 5 for 25

Light bleeds through corners of monitor, has poor visuals. HDR issues in Windows 11

GIGABYTE G32QC 32" 165Hz 1440P Curved Gaming Monitor, 2560 x 1440 VA 1500R Display, 1ms(MPRT), 94% DCI-P3, VESA Display HDR400, FreeSync Premium Pro, 1x Display Port 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 3.0
GIGABYTE G32QC 32" 165Hz 1440P Curved Gaming Monitor, 2560 x 1440 VA 1500R Display, 1ms(MPRT), 94% DCI-P3, VESA Display HDR400, FreeSync Premium Pro, 1x Display Port 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 3.0

Pros: The size, adjustability & OSD Sidekick software

Cons: Update 12/31/21 Light bleeding through this screen especially with light background's cause poor visibility! Dark fonts are washed out & distorted. This screen causes major eye strain and causes visual impairment. People can use dark background's & webpages to help alleviate eye strain issues, but you shouldn't have to do that. Light bleeding is more noticeable in the corners especially on black or darker background's, more so on the upper right- and left-hand corners. It's not worth the four hundred and something dollars I paid :( This monitor is not HDR certified. It doesnt play well with Windows 11, AMD graphics cards & software. When you have HDR on in Windows 11 with AMDs super resolution enabled and you restart your pc, the screen gets very dim. You must turn off super resolution, then turn it back on for the screens brightness to be restored. These steps must be taken every time you restart your PC. I've calibrated the display as best I can, but backlight bleed is an ongoing issue. Gigabyte's poor manufacturing standards failed this monitors popularity status. Many people with this same monitor have the same issues with backlight bleed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY ON THIS JUNK!

Overall Review: DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK MONITOR!

2 xfx r9 270x's I had did a better job....

XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card RX-580P8RFD6
XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card RX-580P8RFD6

Cons: 8/2/2020 Update - My rma was approved really fast by XFX but I decided to run one last stress test to see what temperatures I had to reach for the fans to spin up, "If they would spin" thought they were dead, after running my test I decided not to rma the card. The fans do work but the gpu must get really hot before the fans start turning. It's not really a con but during normal or heavy loads, heat rises and beings video cards are placed right under the cpu, those temps go up as well even when you have your cpu cooling fan running at full speed because of the heat being generated from the graphics card.

Overall Review: Keep in mind I didn't play games for several months of owning this card. One day while playing GTA 5 my screen turned colors then went back to normal, my PWM fan on my CPU started running full speed all of a sudden. My system temps were through the roof, didn't know why. I opened AMD's software and noticed the fan rpm speed at 0 on my video card. The dual fans should engage at lower temps. This card causes temperature spikes in my system, due to the high heat temperatures this gpu must reach before the fans spin up. I'm afraid it'll burn out the rest of my system. I have excellent cooling, all fans are placed and venting properly but I feel my temps are too high
