Wow . . . oh WOW
Pros: Fast. Fast! FAST!!! 4 cores! HOW can you possibly go wrong?!? I unpacked a 6GB RAR in <4 minutes. Upgrading from an olde AMD Athlon 2500+ (1.87GHz), there is *no* comparison! Also Intel was forced to cut prices when this CPU was released. There is *nothing* to dislike about this chip!
Cons: I didn't admire it long enough before I installed it and covered it with its heatsink. :)
Overall Review: AMD Phenom II X4 940 ASUS M3A78-T Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 2X2GB Kingston 800Mhz LG Blu-Ray/HD DVD player/DVD-RW Western Digital Green 1TB Antec 900 case Antec Signature 650W Bought all these parts at newegg 1 week ago, and I'm not regretting a single decision! I've put together Frankenstein computer before (1 used part from this system, 1 from that system . . . ) but had never had a big package full of NEW computer parts dropped off on my doorstep, and it was a very enjoyable experience -- the resulting system was just a bonus. :) Thanks newegg!
Great pics!!! *BUT* . . .
Pros: Pretty color, lovely pictures, battery life is very fair. My daughter loves it even more than I do, with all the cool sounds it makes when you turn it on and take pictures! Quality good enough for an adult, fun & easy enough to use for kids . . .
Cons: . . . but on the other hand, I purchased this computer to record video, and as I've seen on other reviews (reviews read *after* my purchase), this camera makes an obnoxious chirping sound when it records video. Sadly, the video I wanted to record was of me at karaoke. I haven't actually tried yet -- I think I may be able to sing over the darn chirping -- but because it was purchased for video, this easily knocks 2 stars off. Yes, I know if I want video I ought to purchase a video recorder, but I don't need 1920x1080 video: Just to record some basic sound with a 640x480 image, and I feel it's a reasonable expectation that the device itself wouldn't make sounds loud enough to catch on video.
Overall Review: I'd read reviews on other Kodak EasyShare cameras, and decided that I wanted one. Turns out at the last minute, the model I'd had my eye on was sold out, so I chose this one instead. Wished I'd taken just 10 minutes to read the reviews. Let that be a lesson to you! And in sooth, every time I've read glowing reviews, I've been happy with my product, which is one reason why I happily shop newegg for most of my computer electronic needs.
Sweet little bracket!
Pros: Looks great in a black case, not as hard to put together as other reviewers have stated.
Cons: As other reviews have mentioned, having a magnetic-tip screwdriver can be handy for the narrow spaces. I also wish the top pane of metal was on the bottom with screws there instead!!! Would have made it significantly easier to mount my Siig USB panel.
Overall Review: I decided to get these after seeing a picture of them from a customer review on another site. Glad I did!
I like it!
Pros: Looks pretty, small & lightweight (easy to find a place to put it), great speeds. My room is 2 floors above the router in an old building, and it always has a good connection with 150MBs. Works great for online gaming!
Cons: It's still not an ethernet connection! This, however, is not the product's fault.
Overall Review: I prefer ethernet connections at the present stage of wireless technology, but because of necessity, I have gone wireless. I am quite pleased with my choice of Rosewill for both my WNIC and router.
Pleasantly surprised
Pros: Saves space, low price, does what I want it to do. I'm apprehensive about wireless networking, particularly drops in speed. At the moment, however, I am in a spot where I needed a WNIC, and this one does the trick. I am two floors above the router in an old building, and I still get 70-90% signal strength, with 98-100% link quality. I may be new to the wireless networking market, but I think that's pretty darn good.
Cons: It didn't come with any pretty stickers for me to give to my daughter?
Overall Review: I like it! I plan to go back to ethernet when I have the chance, but in the meantime, I'm very satisfied with this adapter, and, as always, with Newegg's great service.
Not a *bad* purchase, per se . . .
Pros: Not a bad price for 16GB storage! I've never used SD cards before, and I was very pleased with how easy it was to learn to use, both in my camera and my card reader. Storage space is *huge*! I let my 7-year-old play with my camera, taking pictures and recording videos for several *hours*, and it barely made a dent in the remaining space on the card.
Cons: None! I've been using Kingston system memory for several years, and have found them to be a very trustworthy name for budget -- but quality -- memory products.
Overall Review: I think I overpaid. This certainly isn't the card's fault, but as I said earlier, if I can let my daughter go for several hours and I've only used ~3GB out of 16GB, then I really bought a card larger than my needs. This is fine -- I'd rather buy a card that's too big than too small, but in retrospect, and 8GB card would've been too big too, but may have been a better choice. The moral of the story: Know your needs before you shell out the money. :)
