My Drive Failed

Patriot EP Pro Series 32GB UHS-1 Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model PEF32GSHC10333
Patriot EP Pro Series 32GB UHS-1 Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model PEF32GSHC10333

Pros: Very fast. Combined with a 3.0 reader, downloads and xfers were blazing fast. Much more noticeable than standard cards. Camera supported this speed and I could tell the difference with videos.

Cons: Cons (and in all fairness to the card) it failed right after a read operation in a mac computer. I tend to believe the card was ejected from the computer before the read process was completed. Next day, back in the camera, started to get small errors, which quickly grew into major issues eventually leading to the card failing to read/write and or format. NOW...the really back news is for RMA this card has to be returned to Taiwan for replacement! Really??? Also read the warranty terms as some places it indicates 5 years, but on their RMA site they indicate lifetime.

Nice Little Adapter for an Old Computer

Rosewill RNX-AC600UB - Dual Band Wireless AC600 Adapter - IEEE 802.11AC a / b / g / n, Up to 433 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 150 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Wi-Fi Data Rates, USB 2.0 Interface, WPS for Easy Connect

Pros: Small size. Ease (or lack of) installation required. Drivers for Win 8 on website, maybe even CD - but I went straight to the website for the newest download. Speed. Nice blue activity indicator light on the top. Low price.

Cons: None. Could it be smaller? Doubt it.

Overall Review: I bought this to extend the life a an old Dell E1705 after adding an AC cable modem/router. I stay within about 10 feet of the wifi router, so I cannot comment on range. It did immediately pick up speed up to 53.87Mps up and 12.14Mps down which is a vast improvement from single digits on the built in WiFi adapter. I gave it five eggs for all above including the very low price.

Will Not Buy Again

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100281-3SR
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card 100281-3SR

Pros: Card was easy to install and drivers are constantly being modified (may be a con, but it is what it is) Displays good graphics and speed was fine for Falcon BMS for which it was intended.

Cons: I worked with this card's failings through out it's life span always crashing, always "video driver stopped responding" - never a reliable card. It was my fault fopr not RMA ing the card while under warranty for these faults as I thought it was a driver issue that AMD would fix - but no, it was a hardware issue after I finally reported to Sapphire who promptly informed me of such and that it was out of warranty by then.

Overall Review: The moral of this story is don't let manufactures delay the RMA process with "driver issues." If it's broke - send it back while under warranty. Also, when researching for a new display adapter - go for the one with the longest warranty period. Hopefully we can encourage them to stand behind their disposable products longer.
