AMD Opteron 6128 Magny-Cours 2.0 GHz 8 x 512KB L2 Cache 12MB L3 Cache Socket G34 115W OS6128WKT8EGOWOF Server Processor

Pros: -Great for virtual machines -Great for multithreaded applications -GREAT for folding/World Community Grid -Power bill friendly - Runs VERY cool with Noctua NH-U9D0-A3 ..20c idle (1 above room), maximum 44c load. Thats the highest recorded after a couple months of running. Avg load is about 29C - CHEAP -Excellent price for the performance. I mean, amazing. -2 of these run great on an ASUS KGPE-D16

Cons: - Difficult to apply thermal paste the proper way on such a large chip (literally double the length of a socket AM3 CPU) -No standard coolers (The dynatrons were awful for me...45c idle temperature) -IMC still slower than socket 1366 intel CPU IMCs (In real world) - Performance per core not the fastest, you need to know this.

Overall Review: This CPU is REALLY FAST for some special applications. (SMP)This is a great CPU if youre buying it for the right purpose. Gamers and casual computer users need not apply, gaming will be slow and single threaded applications will not be nearly as fast as other offerings. For example, a system with two of these on a single motherboard will perform about as fast in some circumstances as my SINGLE overclocked i7 930 (4.2ghz), and other times far slower. This is because most applications will not fully use all available cores. Most of the ones I've tested on it utilize at maximum 4 cores, sort of a shame. Basically, it ends up that a 4.2ghz core is far faster than a 2ghz core, and this is the way most programs will see it.

EVERCOOL FAN-EC5010M12CA 50mm Case Cooling Fan
EVERCOOL FAN-EC5010M12CA 50mm Case Cooling Fan

Pros: Move some air for their size nice and cheap

Cons: Cheap. One of them makes a slightly noticable vibrating noise Slighly louder than I'd like at reduced RPM

Overall Review: Theyre alright. Dont know how long they'll last though. Using them on an SNT RAID bay

Great card

GIGABYTE GV-N78TD5-3GD-B G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: All the games I play have run at top speed with maxxed settings at 2560x1600. Overclocked nicely when I attempted it. Temperatures didn't get out of control. Hottest I've seen this card get is 73C which I'm quite happy with. Reference cooler is actually quite nice.. The build quality is great unlike the one poor review. As far as I know, these are all nvidia reference cards.

Cons: I'm really not a fan of this GPU boost nonsense. I've just forced the card to run at max speed with no issues whatsoever.

Overall Review: Blown away by the difference in performance over my old SLI'd GTX580s. Don't let the ridiculous opinion of the one dude who won(lost?) the QC lottery deter you. This card is great and as of writing this costs less than other brands which will essentially give you almost an identical card. For what its worth, my specific card had a 73% reading for ASIC quality through GPU-Z. I feel like it isn't worth putting in pros/cons since I'd imagine this can wildly vary.

Kingston SSDNow mS100 64GB Mini-SATA (mSATA) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SMS100S2/64G

Pros: Seems to work very well, quite fast and not very pricey. Havent noticed it heating up much

Cons: None but only been operating for under 24h

Overall Review: I'm literally using the EXACT same setup as the review below me.. thinkpad W520, with this SSD installed for VMWare images.

ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe AM3 AMD 880G USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe AM3 AMD 880G USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard

Pros: PCI-E slot Bluetooth Good layout Unlocks CPUs USB3 support Officially supports some 6 core CPUs

Cons: SO-DIMM DDR3 - ...why?! the only reason I can think of is lack of space Horrid antennas which come packaged. Could use one more fan header More heatsinks would be nice, it does get rather warm

Overall Review: Setup: AMD Phenom II X6 1035T (95W CPU!) 8GB DDR3 (Patriot) EVGA GTX460 Lian-Li PC-Q11B A power supply which is way too huge for all this (875w tt toughpower...overkill yes.)

Does the job

Galaxy GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 512MB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Video Card 44GGS8HX3BXZ

Pros: Excellent performance for an HTPC which does some mild gaming Small Stays cool Cheap!

Cons: Fan is a bit noisy for an HTPC, all other fans in the case are quiet, this not so much.

Overall Review: Its still good for an HTPC, just might annoy some picky people
