First Onkyo Product

ONKYO TX-NR509 5.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver
ONKYO TX-NR509 5.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver

Pros: -Outstanding Value -Sound quality is much better than I expected for the price -Many many features -Good output power per channel -Never used DLNA or had a wifi enabled receiver, it's awesome

Cons: -Gets pretty toasty; make sure you put it in a well ventilated area (even seems to get hot running Pandora on low volume) -DLNA does not seem to handle video; small con for me since my Xbox 360 streams from Windows and is attached to the receiver -Wish there was a little more flexibility with the EQ... -Seems a bit slow swapping between HDMI inputs (i.e. cable/satellite to game mode) maybe 5-6 seconds or more at times

Overall Review: I purchased this with two Polk Monitor 60 series two tower speakers and a Polk PSW505 sub for a 2.1 configuration. The receiver reproduces excellent sound over the system. Pandora sounds wonderful with the "music optimizer" setting turned on. While I could come up with a few more cons, the receiver is an absolutely amazing deal for the price I purchased it.

Works

Microsoft Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit
Microsoft Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit

Pros: - Works as described - Have an exact replica of my old, fat Xbox on my new slim one

Cons: - Took about 1.5 hours to transfer my old Xbox HDD (about 20/25GB filled) to the new 250GB HDD - It took me a few tries to transfer correctly. - I wish it was included in a new Xbox...

Overall Review: Don't just plug in and use the "wizard" to transfer if you want to move everything... Mine kept freezing. I had to decline the pop-up when plugging in the HDD transfer kit, then go to storage -> migrate everything. This worked great.

Perfect for my needs

Polk Audio OWM3 Compact Multi-Aplication Speakers - Black (Pair)
Polk Audio OWM3 Compact Multi-Aplication Speakers - Black (Pair)

Pros: - Exactly what I needed to finish off my system - Mids and highs are clear and crisp - Great quality to cost ratio - Mounts easily

Cons: - Bigger than I anticipated (I should have read the description closer)

Overall Review: Used for 40% TV (mostly sports), 30% gaming, and 30% music. For music I switch to 2.1, so this review applies to TV / gaming only. My system is Polk towers upfront, Polk 12" sub, Polk center and Polk surround (5.1) - driven by an Onkyo 5.1 receiver. I've been putting this together for about 1 year, as budget allows... I have listened to many high end home theaters, some in excess of $10K, and this is not on that caliber... However, for an average Joe like myself, this meets my needs perfectly. Don't expect these surrounds to match the quality of speakers that cost 4x as much... But unless you have the budget, a decent receiver and other components can really allow these speakers to shine.

Awesome

XtremeMac Tango TRX 2.1 Wireless High-Fidelity Audio System for iPad, iPhone and iPod (Black) IPU-TRX-11
XtremeMac Tango TRX 2.1 Wireless High-Fidelity Audio System for iPad, iPhone and iPod (Black) IPU-TRX-11

Pros: - good quality for a small speaker (5 out of 10 in terms the best quality I've ever heard) - easy setup - versatile options for playing music

Cons: - (this probably has more to do with bluetooth than the speaker) audio cuts out when there is any interference directly between the line of sight of the speaker and the source. - using iPhone 4s, audio cuts from 2 channels to 1 on the dock, occasionally

Overall Review: I bought this for a workout room in my house and set a $100 limit for my budget. This speaker by far exceeded my expectations for the cost and has loads of features. I almost exclusively use the Bluetooth, and the audio sounds great for my needs... I don't consider audiophile quality a requirement while working out [too much other noise and distractions]... If you do need better quality, look elsewhere.

Best wireless receiver I've owned

Rosewill RNX-N600UBE Wireless N600 Dual Band USB 2.0 Adapter
Rosewill RNX-N600UBE Wireless N600 Dual Band USB 2.0 Adapter

Pros: - I love that I can force switch between 5GHz and 2.4GHz - The software is hands down the best of a wireless receiver I've used. Not the prettiest, but it has more options/selections than the 4 other wireless receivers I've tried. - I've seen transfer speeds increase from 10-15MB/s across my network to 25-35MB/s by placing one on each of our PC's - Cheap

Cons: None

Overall Review: - Using a 300Tr + 300Rx wireless router from about 25ft away (through a wood floor) and have excellent signal strength - Would love to use the GB LAN, but sadly is not an option in my house

Good deal

Microsoft XBOX 360 Racing bundle w/Forza 4 & Wireless Speed Wheel 250 GB Hard Drive Black
Microsoft XBOX 360 Racing bundle w/Forza 4 & Wireless Speed Wheel 250 GB Hard Drive Black

Pros: - VERY quiet - Bigger hard drive is wonderful - I like the touch controls - Black appearance is nice (Xbox finally matches the rest of my living room) - Forza 4 is fun, the wheel is pretty fun too

Cons: - Cost (although you're getting a lot for the price...)

Overall Review: All of my pros are comparing to the 4-5 year old Xbox 360 that this replaced. I think one of the fans was dead, and the old box was overheating and having lots of other issues as a result. I decided to replace the whole unit, as all of my other equipment was aging too (controllers worn, headset dead, out of disk space, etc.). I'm very glad I made the decision to purchase this.
