I bought this to protect my Mac Mini setup. Lately we've been having power issues due to stormy weather, and my Mini was just too expensive to plug into a "surge protector." This is a nice UPS, especially for the price. The display is informative and you can keep tabs on how much power you're drawing from the 'battery side' of the unit. I'm quite surprised that my monitor and mini are only drawing an average of 25 watts!

The mere fact that it is Tripp Lite is the biggest pro. I had a lightning issue about 10 years ago and Tripp Lite honored it's warranty and also replaced my equipment that was killed in the process. So, don't forget to register these if you get one. The length of the cord was my particular draw in this...the workstation is on a cart and moved around...plenty of slack.
